Vehicle Detail
This bike was rescued from a barn in Hanford, CA and then restored and rebuilt to its former glory. I was a huge fan of that fairing which I believe is a beautiful example of industrial design. It also exudes a real sense of 80s cool that I think is just coming back in vogue. However I know it is not to everyone's taste, but still makes is a very efficient shape to spend the day behind. The bike is very solid, with that smooth 800cc boxer motor providing turbine like propulsion, so if you are looking for a tourer or the base for your custom bike, this is it. Clear South Dakota title. Here is a list of things in no particular order and things I can remember off the top of my head. Please ask any and all additional questions.1. Frame, swing arm, forks, engine covers, and brackets (etc.)--stripped and powder coated.2. Engine rebuilt from the crank up. New: seals everywhere; large and small end bearings; piston rings; reconditioned heads; Timing chain, gears, bearings and tensioner.3. Misc. New: Clutch plates, fiber disk, and diaphragm spring; front brake pads and rear shoes, steering head, swing-arm, and wheel bearings; brake calipers rebuilt; steel braided brake lines; BING carbs rebuilt with new stuff; reconditioned alternator, starter, and solid state voltage regulator; FINAL DRIVE rebuilt with new bearings, seals, and output splines; PC680 battery; switchgear.4. Little things: tires have about 2k but still have plenty of life left, paint is newish as well but has a few chips and shown in photos, seat has had a few rips but were repaired, however you can still see the scars if you look. The neutral switch weeps occasionally from where is goes to the gearbox. In summary, a solid bike that will give many additional miles of adventure in style. P.S. The odometer is a replacement and the bike does not have 90,000 miles...the original had fewer than 30k, and the rebuilt engine is under 2k. I have the receipts for the parts and work to back this up.If you fly to Fresno airport I will pick you up and drive you to my house if you want to fly and ride.
