Vehicle Detail
1999 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabrio 96K NO RESERVE You are viewing a 1999 Porsche 911 Cabrio. To start off, let me be clear, this one needs some TLC, but I do not think it needs much. My mechanic I have been using for these cars for the last 30 years informed me last week that he is retired, not going to take on any more work. Well, he already has several of mine, so I have decided to sell this as it sits. Overall, this is a straight and rust free car. It does run and drive, has full oil pressures, normal water temps, shifts fine, heat and air work, and not leaking fluids. Body is straight and paint is fair with the exception of front bumper and rear wing. Interior is free of rips and tears, though I would classify it as below average. It was a southern car and clean AutoCheck. I think this is a car with a little TLC, it would be a wonderful driver to enjoy. What does it need? Here is what I have uncovered, though it could need more. Top is not operational. Rear window is split and some exposure to the elements. Electronics are mostly operational, though the power windows and locks are not. Radio, HVAC, etc are all working. Carpets are dry as is the interior. On the exterior, the top is ok, but with the window split, I would suggest a new top. Though the exterior is overall ok, the front bumper and some of the rear spoiler have been repainted...poorly. Fortunately, it is in spots that can be easily rectified, but need you to be aware that it looks worse in person than the pictures. I am recommending this is be trailered to your destination rather than a "fly in and drive home". I am recommending this largely because the tires are only so-so, last service was over a year ago, but just a thousand miles put on since then. I put fuel stablizer, cleaner and new gas into all my cars, including this one, but would suggest going over it top to bottom before hauling out several hundred miles. I have driven it on open roads and it drives fine, just my suggestion. These are all the issues I have found. I think it would clean up and be a good car overall once the top, bumper, and power windows have been addressed. I have no information on service other than the last oil change. As you can expect, this is being sold as-is all faults known or unknown. No dealer fees, but I must change Indiana sale tax of 7% to Indiana and surrounding state residents. Payment is cash in person, cashiers check, or wire transfer. No other payment methods accepted (ie PayPal). Buy it now for $9900 and I will throw in a new black top (not installed).
