Vehicle Detail

I am listing this car for my dad. My dad's health has been rapidly deteriorating as he has been diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) and he has decided to sell the car to cover expenses since he is no longer able to work or drive. He has owned this car since 1996 and purchased it in Atlanta from a listing in the Dupont Registry magazine. This 94 911 Speedster is among 427 cars that were brought to the US in 1994, making it very rare. If you are a Porsche enthusiast, you already know what this car is. The car is still in very good condition and has not been repainted or had any interior reconditioning. It is all like it was from the factory with a few little parts that have been replaced and I will cover those further on in this description. The car has it's original engine. The wheels were chrome plated in 1998 and are original Porsche OEM cup wheels that came painted silver from the factory. There is a set of Sumitumo Z rated tires on the car that have 2013 date codes and have a lot of tread left. The car has only been driven a few times over the past 2 years, mostly by me (his 40 year old son). I have also performed most all the service on the car since around 2003. The bulk of the miles this car has were put on it from 1996-2006. My Dad drove this car every chance he could, always in warm weather, it was driven often as if it were a regular C2 convertible as we didn't realize the significance and rarity of the Speedster model at the time. A very important thing to note on this auction is about the car's mileage. The speedometer which has the odometer built into it was replaced at 58,278 as it stopped working. Since the odometer replacement the car has been driven another 66,505 miles which makes the total mileage 124,783. The speedo was changed by an independent Porsche mechanic, and is not on the Car Fax but we are honest people and would never conceal that fact. Here is a list of the parts that have been replaced and some good points about the car, some are small but worth noting: Runs and drives great, no check engine lightsAll electronics work properlyNo suspension or brake issuesNo major mechanical issuesRotors replaced with Zimmerman cross drilled around 10-12 years ago along with Porsche OEM padsTail light housings were replaced 6-7 years ago due to heat cracksGas/oil level and oil temp/oil pressure gauges were replaced due to peeling 6-7 years agoHeadlight seals were replaced 6-7 years agoPIAA ion yellow fog light bulbs replaced OEM bulbsHeater blower motor was replaced Driver's side power window switch was replacedDansk muffler bypass pipe and stainless tip was installed (still have factory exhaust included with the car)No rust anywhere on the car. Not driven in rain or snow.Paint has never been polished or buffed with a machine, hand polished only, only spray waxed for the past 3-4 years. Alpine 6 disc changer was added in 96 and is controlled by the Porsche OEM radio Alpine speakers installed up front with Kenwood speakers in the back panels, factory speakers were going badInterior is in very good condition with only minor wear on the driver's side seat bolsters (see pics)Oil has always been changed on time with the correct type of oil. Valvoline VR1 20W50 has been used along with Bosch and or Wix oil filters over the past 10-12 years or so as it has the proper amount of ZDDP (1400 PPM) for the 964 engines. Royal Purple Max Gear oil is in the rear diff as well as in the 5 speed manual gearbox Here are some issue with the car that need to be addressed:Top has some torn places (see pics) and the rubber is missing from clips that hold the top down on the fiberglass speedster tonneau cover, short version-top needs replacing - 929.00 for a new top from Pelican parts (not including installation)Car has an oil leak or leaks not sure from where underneath (common 964 problem)Tail light lense center need to be replaced from heat cracks (see pics) - 468.00 on EbayRelease cable for the top needs to be replacedOEM tool kit is missing - 280.00-550.00 on EbayPassenger power seat switch doesn't work (common 964 problem)Right rear tire has a slight air leakSpeedster emblem has been broken and glued back on the trunk (see pics, not very noticeable) - 116.00 for a new emblemDriver's side leather has slight seat bolster wear Paint is in really nice shape and should be really thick due to never being machine polished as I stated before. Only minor rock chips on the hood which have been touched up. Some light (paint correction) may be done to make it better as there are only some light swirls and scratches in a few spots. The rear bumper has some scratches close to the exhaust tip which appear to be from another vehicle's tire or hitting part of a tire on the roadway which is barely noticeable. For serious inquiries I can be reached at 606-706-9542, call or text. My name is Ben. I work in rural areas and can be without phone service for hours at a time. I have no intentions of ending the listing early or revealing the reserve price. If I have left out any info or discover anything extra I will update the listing ASAP. Car Fax link below:https://www.carfax.com/showroom/#/report/WP0CB2968RS465301 NADA base values are listed below and seem to be a little low in my opinion especially when I look at other 964 and 964 Speedster cars listed for sale and cars that have recently sold.
