We have for sale today a 2012 Chevrolet Caprice PPV 9C3 Detective model with 46,384 original miles. The mileage may increase if the weather stays clear. This car has NEVER been used as a police car and is one of the few Caprice's that has had civilian ownership since being released by GM. This vehicle started life as a Chevrolet western "zone" vehicle, a company car for one of Chevrolet's managers in California. When the car had a little over 4,000 miles, it was sent to auction as a "used car". I bought it from Hendrick Automotive group in North Carolina. The vehicle has the detective/civilian console, carpeted floor, black leather seats, the radio head has been unlocked so it has blue tooth functions. The windows have been professionally tinted and good old fashion painted silver/grey pinstripes. The VIN number has been unlocked so any Chevrolet dealership can look up parts and bulletins on the vehicle I have a transportation company (we are also a registered PA Inspection Station with our own mechanics) and this is my personnel vehicle so nothing is spared on its maintenance and care. When the weather is bad, its stays inside the heated garage within a vehicle capsule! It is really a fantastic car, one of the very best sedans I have driven! Yes this is a Caprice PPV, but since it was never purchased by law enforcement it has not had and does not have ANY law enforcement equipment. No cop dome light, no holes drilled for radios, computers and antennas. Yes this Caprice has leather interior, the center sections of the seats have the perforations for comfort.
