Up for auction is a 1998 Toyota Camry CE with miles. I used it for school and for a local part-time commute and it remains on campus. The car's history by a previous owner changed the transmission from a manual to an automatic after he got into an accident which is listed on the VIN report which lists the car as originally being a car with manual transmission. The windows all work, and I replaced the battery for one with a five-year warranty early last year. You get what is included in the pictures with those accessories being a car dash cam, which is useful in many occasions, and this auction also includes floor mats, jumper cables, steering wheel cover for grip, driver's seat cushion (black), and windshield wipers in the trunk. I had not checked on the coolant levels, so, I took it to Firestone for an estimate of all the 'critical' repairs the car needs, and that national chain gave an estimate at $1,100. I think after filling it with coolant, it should start but if you take it to a local mechanic, you should be able to save on repairs otherwise. It had car engine sensor work done early last winter. The parking brake needs work and you have to pump the brakes in the morning if it is really cold out for the hydraulic fluid to thaw. Or have it fixed. I'm getting a new car. When I took possession of it in the summer of 2017, the tires had been replaced and work was done on the car for the brakes. Firestone recommends that the linkpins are also replaced ($600 or so). The Firestone in Danvers also stated that they will replace the A/C fan with free labor (I can give you my phone number) so that the car can have A/C working on settings 1-3. It works at the highest setting, 4. The magnetic smartphone mount and the CD smartphone magnetic mount and the multiple car DC adapter is also included. The spark plugs have been replaced this year and the sunroof motor works. I've used gasoline that is specified to use detergent so that the engine cylinders don't accumulate gunk, such as from Costco and Citgo. The car has passed inspection and the next inspection is due in June. The above should specify everything that I know about this car with my driving as a grad student here in Massachusetts. The car is sold as is, so, you should have a mechanic ready. All sales are final but I can give you the check-up estimate by Firestone for your review before auction close.
