This is one of the sweetest FJ60s you'll find. I bought it from the original owner, who lives just down the road from me. It's always been a California car. I've upgraded it from top to bottom...new suspension from old man emu with a three inch lift, new paint, carpet, dash cover, tires, and much much more...1987 was the last year of the carbureted motors. It's not a simple thing to pass smog in California with a carbureted FJ, but this one has just passed and is running great with normal compression and plenty of power. New fuel pump and filters. New Tune-up..plugs, points, condenser, vacuum lines and some other vacuum components. New power steering pump, carburetor rebuilt, New fan clutch. A.C. upgraded to r-134, charged and blowing cold. New motor seals all except for rear main, which is not leaking. New Old Man Emu 3 in. lift springs with greaseable shackles, new shock absorbers. New electronic brake controller and new trailer brake plug with round six way plug and long three way. heavy duty hitch. New catalytic converter. New Aussie carpet set front and back. New dash cover. Lighted old school compass mounted to the center console wired to the dash panel lights. Digital clock under the dash. New dome lights front and back that work with opening doors or rear hatch. New running light fixtures all the way around. New wiper blades, not just the rubber but the whole blades. New root beer colored paint, same as original but with a bit of metallic and pearl...looks great both in daylight and limited light. There was no rust repaired, no bondo, no patch panels...the truck has no rust, except for the usual tiny bits of surface rust you see on every car's frame. new 33 in. Falcon Wild Peak tires about a year old with maybe a thousand miles on them. New shifter slides...it was hard to slide back and forth in neutral...now it shifts like new. Heavy duty Cargo Master roof rack. Pioneer c.d. stereo, new front speakers plus speakers mounted in back. Original tools in original case...including the crank that you can crank over the motor with...should you find yourself stranded in the desert with a dead battery. The Tepui roof tent is for sale separately. This Cruiser runs and drives like a much newer truck than it is. It was pampered by the original owner...a local dentist who used it to take his family camping. The kids grew up, he retired and had a stroke and that's how I got it. It was in excellent shape but just needed freshening up, which I've done. Now it's ready to be driven another 100,000 miles and enjoyed trouble free. I've towed a tent trailer to the coast over mountains in the 100 degree heat with the A,''C, running and it will not overheat. It will go anywhere I wanted to go in the Pismo Beach sand dunes...tires aired down...and it climbs like a goat. With the lifted suspension, you can go on almost any 4x4 trail you want to take.
