It was partially rebuilt six years ago...completely new suspension, exterior, body, rebuilt AC system. It is time for another rebuilt. After having the vehicle for 18+ years, I'm just not up for it and wanted something else. This is a great project SUV. This vehicle has always run and never has even burped. I would drive it across country without even a second thought (even today). Mechanically this SUV has been an unstoppable beast. The Good: The engine is perfect. It starts and runs better than a new SUV. The Vortex 350 engine was one of the best engines ever made and this is a perfect example of it. Even when it is 100°+ outside the engine runs cool. This engine has never had a problem. Oil changes every 3-5k miles. Even after sitting for 3 months, it start on the first click of the starter. The SUV has a new Pioneer NEX stereo with Car Play, new speakers, new leather on the driver seat. All the leather on the other seats are in great shape. Though the interior is apart everything is there with either new parts or the original parts. Nothing is missing. Brand new custom padded carpet (never installed) and sound deading floor sheeting (never installed). Everything runs perfect. Every part that has ever been replaced has been replaced with original GM parts except the exhaust which was replaced with a stainless system. This SUV has been serviced it's entire life at the dealer. Every maintenance interval was performed. Tires only have 10k miles on them and they are some of the best on/off road tires available. Battery is only about a year old. Transmission replaced about 50k miles ago with a new transfer case. Rear end/axle completely replaced about 30k with a new one. Shocks are only about 10k miles old. The Bad: This truck has a hole in the floor on the passenger side (see the photos), needs work on the passenger doors, needs exterior rocker panels only (interior are good) and repainted. 95% of the body is solid with only surface rust at the edges. The SUV was washed throughout the winter so salt never sat on it. This was a daily driver in Ohio. It also has a very slow drip from the oil pan...a drop or two a day...needs an oil pan gasket.
