I am selling a 1958 Chevrolet Impala 2-door hardtop, 348 engine, automatic, power steering, treadle vac power brakes, radio. I bought the car in 1974 and drove it daily until 1985. It is parked in a storage building and has not been started since then. The pictures show as it is now, dust and all. It is a complete car that will need restoration, but it is all there. I bought it from a Navy serviceman that brought it to Alabama from California. It is about 97% rust free. When I purchased the car, I cleaned the floorboards and trunk and used undercoating on them. I have been collecting cars for over 50 years, but I am getting to a time in my life that makes it practical to sell my Impala. I am not physically able to work on my cars like I used to in my younger years. I will gladly answer your questions to the best of my ability, but please do not ask questions like it is a high-dollar show car. I have little patience for folks that think they are going to get something for nothing. I have the car for sale because it is the thing to do, not because I need the money. It is best now to let someone else enjoy it. Again, this is not a distress sale. Buyer is responsible for making all transportation plans and payments. When it is picked up, it is sold as is, where is, so air up the tires, push it out of the building and it is yours. Then is not a time to discuss or negotiate or try to get it running. You load it and go. I will help all that I can on loading the vehicle. Do not bid if you don’t have the money or have to get permission. A $500.00 deposit by Pay Pal is due within 24 hours of the auction closing. The remainder is due within 7 days by cash or bank direct deposit. Alabama does not have titles for vehicles until 1975; I will provide a notarized Bill Of Sale and Tag Registration to the buyer. In Alabama, the antique tag does not go with the car. Check your state requirements before you bid.
