This listing is for a used vintage Powell P81 Custom motorcycle / motorscooter. This RARE motorcycle was built by Powell Manufacturing Company (PMC) in Compton, California. This hard-to-find bike is a great candidate for restoration. I believe it was built some time between 1949 and the mid 1950's but do not know the exact year of manufacture. The serial number is hard to make out but looks to possibly be 003231. I cannot guarantee that this number is correct (see photos). This bike appears to have originally been blue. Someone has painted red over the blue on the fenders and fuel tank. The single cylinder four stroke 24 cubic-inch (393cc) engine is free but is not currently running. The carb is missing the float bowl. The magneto cover is missing and the mag will likely need a rebuild. The centrifugal clutch cover is missing. It is missing the right hand foot peg. There is a dent in the top of the fuel tank. The inside of the fuel tank is rusty and will need to be cleaned out. The tires do not hold air. This bike will be sold with BILL OF SALE ONLY. NO TITLE.
