Selling my 1969 GTO convertible. Due to a back injury I will not have the time or money to complete this car. This car will need a full restoration. The GTO was parked in 1982 and never driven again. Engine and transmission where removed because the previous owner spun a bearing and was going to rebuild the engine and put in a new clutch but that never happened. The odometer shows 63,367 miles. I was told that is the true mileage of the car. It does have rust in the usual places like floor boards and trunk pan but the frame is solid. It is a true 242 GTO with a factory 4 speed. The GTO has no engine or transmission but I do have the original heads and intake manifold. It has a power top which obviously will need replacing but the top frame is all there. The rear glass window is still attached to the top and it isn't cracked or broken. Doors close perfectly with no sagging. Front and rear seats aren't bad and will clean up nicely. No tears or rips. Floors will need replacing. It also has a Sanyo AM/FM 8 track player. Dash is in good shape and all gauges are there. Original color of the GTO is matador red with a black interior. Middle console is present and in good shape. This is a no A/C car with power steering and power front disc brakes. All glass is original and in great shape. Car still retains its original T-3 headlights. The GTO had a factory hood tach but the previous owner didn't like the way it looked so he removed it and patched the hole in the hood. The patch was professionally done because you can't even tell there was a tach there unless you look underneath the hood. I also have the fan shroud, original bumper jack, lug wrench and spare Goodyear tire. I am also including a set of rally wheels complete with trim rings and center caps.
