The truck is in great mechanical shape. It’s a 12 year old truck so it shows a little wear on the body and the bed. But it drives and shifts perfect, pulls hard, and rides like new. 4-wheel drive works great. Rarely off road. The truck is not spotless, but clean and show really well.I acquired the truck in May of 2017. My intent was to resell it, but the transmission completely imploded about 3 weeks after it was purchased. $4000 later it had a newly rebuilt transmission. Since that time the list below outlines all that been replaced, repaired, rebuilt, or upgraded. I’ve provided copies of receipts for your review. I have other receipts, but was limited to how many images I could add to this auction. All the work was provided by professional shops including the local dealership here in Hoover, AL.The lower end of the Powerstroke motors are well built and can easily run in excess of 500,000. The top end is where all the issues occur. The exhaust gas return valve forces 1200 degree heated exhaust back into the intake. The result is overheating and blown head gaskets and ultimately warped or cracked heads. In this case, the truck had blown head gaskets. Since we were in there, I had the shop rebuild the heads too. A few months later the same shop concluded the high pressure oil pump had failed. So it was replaced. Subsequently, the truck was experiencing symptoms of rough idle and running and even complete shutdown. I went a different route and had the dealership take a look. The fuel sending unit was deteriorated and parts broken off in the tank and were swept up into the fuel lines. A new sending unit was installed as well as a new fuel pump and inertia switch. The mechanics concluded that one bank of injectors was almost new, but the other 4 were original. We went ahead and had those four replaced at this time as well. With high pressure oil pump, oil cooler, rebuilt heads, rebuilt transmission, new batteries, new alternator, I would drive this truck across country anytime. AC blows ice cold and heat works perfect. It comes with an SCT Tuner. When tuned the truck puts out around 450 horsepower and 700 ft lbs of torque. The exhaust was rebuilt and has only a resonator. It sounds amazing.Clean Alabama title and is in-hand. There is a reasonable reserve.
