The one owner the car in incredible condition since day one.Crossfires, the SRT-6 is an international blending of pieces and teamwork: the powertrain comes from Mercedes AMG, the car is assembled by Karmann in Germany, and the design and tuning is done here in America. he 3.2-liter helical-supercharged, intercooled, aluminum SOHC V-6 used in both Crossfire SRT-6s last saw duty in the 2002-04 Mercedes-Benz C32 and SLK32 AMG, and is rated at 330 horsepower in Chrysler trim. That's 115 more ponies than the standard, naturally aspirated Crossfire models. At 310 pounds feet of torque, this V-6 cranks out the same amount of grunt as a late 1980s 5.0-liter Mustang, a perennial musclecar fave. The high-tech blower used on this motor is designed to smooth out the hiccups served up by supercharged engines when the throttle is closed at high rpm. The only transmission choice is a five-speed automatic; there is no manual, but the responsive AutoStick shifter helps satisfy those who like to mix their own gears. Mercedes offers steering wheel-mounted shifter paddles on its AMG cars; why didn't we get them here? Springs, shocks, bushings, anti-rollbars, wheels, and tires are all spec'd for higher performance, although there's surprisingly little ride penalty when compared to the base Crossfire. We have no problem with the more aggressive tuning; that said, the roadster feels a bit suppler (without being mushy), which suits its top-down, grand touring nature just fine. SRT also dialed the Electronic Stability Program's intrusiveness level down a notch, allowing the aggressive driver some oversteer-induced fun prior to the electronannies kicking in. Brakes? All you want. These huge, vented, four-wheel discs would be more than enough for a larger car, much less the compact, 3330-pound SRT-6. Knott and Company maintained a subtle approach to exterior upgrades; any more would have been too much, and the Crossfire already has a lot of design detail etched into its tiny body. The standard front fascia is swapped for a more aggressive splitter design, and the standard car's deployable rear wing is swapped for a larger fixed piece that provides more downforce, in keeping with the SRT-6's higher performance envelope. Some like the look; others think it's over the top. The SRT-6s jewel-like 18- and 19-inch wheels look appropriately elegant and expensive.
