Vehicle Detail
Make me an offer if you are interested. I'm close to bottom dollar, but am open to near offers. This car is very fun, but I am selling to buy a convertible (a Boxster S or another 996). I have a clear title to the car and I own it in full. For some reason, it may not show up that way on autocheck reportI have receipts documenting the following January 2014 @ ~81K miles Clutch IMSB Flywheel seal Spark Plugs Fuel Filter / Cabin Filter / Pollen Filter (these have been replaced every 5K miles) 6-year Battery January 2015 @ ~85K miles Oil Filler Tube Replaced Serpentine Belt Replaced June 2015 @ ~89K miles TTP Oilsafer Kit X51 Oil Pan The oil and filter have been changed every 3K miles. I've run Mobile 1 as suggested on many forums. I have owned this car since April 2014. I bought it with 81,xxx miles and it now has 103,xxx miles (I am still driving the car at least once a week). It has been the most reliable sports car I have ever owned (many Corvettes and a late model Camaro). It is, without any contest, the most fun car I have owned. It is nicely optioned with sport seats, limited slip differential, and sport classic wheels. At 81,xxx miles, this car had the IMSB replaced. In addition, I have made two very important updates to the car to help insure the longevity of the M96 engine. I installed an X51 oil pan. I also installed the TTP oil safer kit (which is the equivalent of the X51 oil scavenge pump). For information, see: http://ttp-sportscar.com/english/info.php These updates were roughly $2500 with labor, and well worth the investment. This oil kit transforms the oil pressure response while taking sharp curves and insures that both sides of the engine receive adequate lubrication during hard cornering. Warm oil pressure is exactly within Porsche specs at both idle and at speed. The latest Blackstone used oil analysis I ordered came back perfect. I expect this car to run another 100,000 miles. I have never tracked the car, but I think with a few additional mods (roll bar, perhaps), this car will be track ready. I have reinstalled the factor mufflers/tips (not show in the pictures). The muffler bypass tips shown in the pictures are included. With the muffler bypass, the car sounds like a 996 cup. The original mufflers (with the Fister D mod) are also included in the sale.As might be expected for a car of this age, the paint and seats show some wear/imperfections. The wheels also show some wear. Hopefully, these can be seen in the pictures. That said, I’ve had many people comment that they thought it was new. New brake pads were installed on the rear roughly 4,000 miles ago. New pads for the front are included in the sale. I have also installed the child airbag safety kit. Occasionally, I get an airbag warning light (a very common issue on these cars) which I just rest with my PST2 (which I will be selling after the car sells). The A/C, radio, ect… all work perfectly. Two keys are included but the remote features only work on one of the keys. This car can be shipped anywhere in the lower 48 states at the buyer’s expense. The buyer will, of course, need to arrange shipping and all payment must clear before the car can be picked up. US bidders only, please. Local sales are welcome, and the car is also for sale locally. As such, this listing may end at any time if the car sales locally. Please ask questions before bidding. I would be happy to answer any questions and send additional pictures as needed. Of course, the car is sold as-is and no warranty is expressed or implied. All sales final, so ask questions before bidding. Things that need attention:The ash tray sometimes gets stuck open. I think there is a repair kit available from pelican parts. The drivers window regulator is sometimes sluggish. It is okay now, but may need replaced sooner rather than later. The car will need tires in the next 2,000 - 3,000 miles.
