Hey Everyone. I sold this car on Bring A Trailer to a gentleman in Arizona. When the car was delivered to him it didn't meet his (unrealistic) expectations. Classic case of buyers remorse. Example: Knobs on radio were faded etc. I agreed to take the car back from him if he would deliver the car to a friends shop in Torrance where it is offered for sale and for inspection. Only 25,000 Miles on the car with clean car fax. Car has a new RND Engine installed with IMS Solution. Car is as nice as you will find. Its 15 years old so its not brand new. Tires have lots of tread left but are six years old. There is some "spotting" on the rear seats. Very hard to see in pics. The PPI indicated some chipping in the windshield but I can't see them with my own eyes. There is a small scratch dent on the hood.....looks like someone closed the hood with something too big in the trunk.Below Is The Detailed Description Of The Car:This 2004 Porsche 911 Carrera Cabriolet is a 6-speed example that shows 25k miles and is finished in Midnight Blue over brown natural leather. A remanufactured 3.6L flat-six from RND Engines was recently installed by the selling dealer and fitted with an upgraded IMS Solution bearing as described below. Several Porsche Exclusive options are present including wood interior trim and 18″ SportDesign alloy wheels. This 996 cabrio is offered with a color-matched hardtop, records of the recent engine installation, a clean Carfax report, and a clear Georgia title.Midnight Blue (L39C) paint is contrasted by a black convertible top, which is shown in both its lowered and raised positions below. A color-matched removable hardtop is also included as pictured above. Styling for the standard 996 was updated in 2002 to include the more angular headlights shared with the contemporary Turbo.Optional factory 18″ SportDesign wheels are noted on the intact option code sticker and fitted with Michelin tires front and rear.The cabin is trimmed in brown natural leather (04) on the seats and instrument cluster hood and accented with a woodgrain steering wheel rim, vent surrounds, shift knob, and emergency brake handle. The digital odometer shows just under 25k miles, 120 of which were added by the selling dealer since installation of the replacement engine.The original 3.6L flat-six suffered an IMS bearing failure prior to the seller's purchase, and has since been replaced with a remanufactured 3.6L flat-six from RND Engines at a reported cost of $18k. RND engines are normally fitted with LN Engineering's Single Row Pro IMS Bearing upgrade. This engine was fitted with Jake Raby's IMS Solution at additional cost, which omits the failure prone roller bearing in favor of a plain bearing similar to that used in the Mezger flat-six. Shifting is through a 6-speed manual transaxle.The replacement engine is pictured on a stand ready for installation above. Specifications for the RND Engines can be found on RND's website. Photos of the underside are provided in the gallery below.The original owner's manuals and books are included in a black leather portfolio. The accident-free Carfax report shows history in Georgia with two owners from new and contains regular mileage and service updates.
