I bought this 2003 Ford F350 4x4 with 198k miles from a guy that said the truck was using engine oil but he never saw any leaks or blue smoke or anything. THE 7.3 engines have injector O-rings that go bad and it uses engine oil pressure to run the fuel injection pump - the o rings had gone bad and was pushing motor oil into the injectors and burning it . I had a professional Diesel shop install all new injector cups , new o rings installed , and injectors tested to repair that problem. a brand new starter was also installed . On initial morning start it runs decent but has a slight bobble that goes away in a couple minutes or a few revs - we think the fuel tank still has a mixture of the oil /diesel and may take a few tanks of diesel and some running to clear it out . After the engine reaches temp, it runs super nice and smooth and has full power ! The body is fairly solid on this truck but is not a Arizona truck , cab corners and rockers along with floors are original and in good shape , frame has some light surface rust/ but is still very solid , the interior is really decent but drivers side of front bench seat needs repair , and overall interior cleaning. The LR door needs a glass and if you want to fix the dent on that door to make it straight and look better . The brakes work good, the exhaust is quite , the 4x4 works well along with automatic transmission and transfer case operate as they should . The driveshaft u- joints do click a bit from forward to reverse and will need replacement soon. there will be some odds and ends that need to be addressed on this truck as it sat for a couple years indoors in the barn. I don't want anyone to think this truck is the greatest in the world, I want to say that the truck has great potential and with some tinkering can be a nice truck for sure . best of luck- I am running a 3 day sale ending Friday night NO RESERVE. check out all my other items as well.
