Vehicle Detail

This is a unique and powerful cruiser in great shape and with only 12,700 miles. You are guaranteed to have fun and have heads turn when riding it. She's fairly stock, but does have the following additions/creature comforts: • *Heated* Corbin Saddle (heat back and front)• Factory Triumph upgraded straight pipes• Factory auxiliary power socket• Factory backrest/luggage bar. • Factory wind deflector• Two Corbin backrests (removable) I believe the tires have less than 1000 miles on them and are fairly new. The battery is brand new and just went in last month. I hate to get rid of her, but she needs to be ridden and since my wife and I got a dog, our vacations are now exclusively by car. A little about the bike and the factory additions: I added the factory straight pipes to add some sound to the bike - I found that with the stock pipes the bike runs almost silent and I like a little noise - Though it's not really all that loud even with these pipes on. According to Triumph, the addition of these pipes "officially" raised the rated horsepower and torque to 160 and 160 respectively, so there is a little extra kick for having them. If you want the stock pipes, I still have them and will gladly include them and swapping is easy. I also have the stock seat and will include that as well if you want it. I have taken this bike on a couple of road trips around the country, at least once from Georgia to Sturgis, rode it to work for a while and now I only ride occasionally. I've had the bike serviced at the proper mileage intervals as well as at the start of each year. It really needs a good home with a more active rider. I recommend reading a few of the many reviews you can find online by searching for "2005 Triumph Rocket III review" to get a sense of how great this bike is. This model is listed as being able to accelerate 0-60 in just over 3 seconds and has enough torque and horsepower to remind you why you ride a motorcycle every time you turn the throttle. I'm not a drag racer, and I've never timed any acceleration, but I can certainly testify that I don't have any problems passing or merging. I don't race, and I'm too old to hot rod, so it's mostly just been a cruiser for me. As to handling, I have taken a few rides through the Tail of the Dragon (A winding road in the mountains north of Georgia) and had no problems keeping up around the corners with my sport bike riding friends. The Rocket has wonderful clearance and is very easy to ride, handling much more like a smaller standard bike than a large cruiser.
