RARE 1988 Honda XRV650 “Africa Twin.” Built in 1987 and released in first year of production; located for sale in Washington state; originally delivered in Italy. This model is not widely available (anywhere) and is especially hard to find in the US.Good condition. All Original / Never Restored. ~56K miles/90K kms (NOTE: this bike is EU spec'd, including odometer, lights, etc.) I bought this bike a few years ago with the intention of restoring it to its original glory – but my work requires a great deal of travel. So it's ended up sitting in my garage (with a 1984 Honda VFR750 Intercepter and a 1990 Honda CBR1000F), while it really deserves to be owned/restored and enjoyed by someone who can truly appreciate it. –- The iconic Honda Africa Twin is a dual-sport motorcycle designed by Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) for extreme hardship and endurance racing, particularly the Paris-Dakar. It was produced in three versions. This version is the original XRV650, a light-weight, high-spec version produced in 1988 and 1989 with a 650cc engine. The second version was produced from 1990-2003 with a 750cc V-twin, and the third version produced from 2016 to present with a1,000cc parallel twin.
