Vehicle Detail
Barn find 1972 chevy monte carlo - this car is truly a survivor . Virginia car last on the road in 1984. I have the original Virginia Title for this car - 1 owner ! the condition of the body is as follows : this is a original paint car !!! floors and frame - very very good original condition no rust , doors very good shape , quarters original and good shape , trunk floor immaculate , drivers fender needs metal work(but I would replace because the rest of the car is rust free ) passenger fender and core support good shape , hood good shape . under vinyl top surface rust but will clean up and require very very little if any metal work( I would sandblast and epoxy prime and install a new vinyl top). the interior still has blankets and protectors put over the seats from day 1. the front seat has a light green material over it almost like a womens pantyhose like material. rear seat has 2 blankets over it . - the carpets have house hold carpet put over them , the headliner and dash are mint ! all gauges work along with radio and heater controls . the door buzzers work, the seat belt buzzers work, the dome light and instrument lights and all lights for that matter work ! TILT Column Car the chrome on the car will all look perfect with a clean and polish ! the body and vinyl top trim is super nice the engine fired right up with a fresh 1 gallon gas /marvel mystery container under the hood. I disconnected the fuel tank because it smelled varnishy and bad . so I didn't want it to go into the carb . the engine goes right to high idle upon start up and runs super super nice . it even has a real nice exhaust note from the single exhaust. A/C kicks on and off but must be a bit low on refrigerant - I cant believe it works ! trunk has K mart oil filters and air filter in it , with a wodden case of old school penzoil oil - what a blast from the past ! original mint jack and spare , original mint trunk floor with spackle coating! the trans shifts perfect , the brakes and steering perfect and no bumps or noises or rattles at all! I switched 2 tires and wheels because they where flat , but I have all 4 matching original rally wheels trim rings and centers (super nice shape ). (honestly this car is right , I've owner so many old cars and this one is a true specimen of a original . if it doesn't sell I'm gonna put 4 new tires on it, clean the gas tank, install a new vinyl top , and charge the a/c and cruise it as-is until next winter when I can have the car painted .) the body is very straight and 95% dent free as well! nothing has been cleaned or detailed on this car to make anything look better than it really is . I have the original Virginia title and I will assist in loading it
