This little Nash Metro 1500 series is a great little conversation starter! It is a series IV, manufactured in January 1959 in Londonbridge, England. It is basic but classy for its time. This little Nash is a two owner car! The current owner has owned it for over 50 years! He purchased it when he was just out of the service from the 1st owner who live in Dallas, TX. He restored the car the first time to spec when he lived in Colorado. He also restored the vehicle again when he moved to Illinois. Although it is an older restoration, the photos will show how good it still looks. The engine was re-built in 2011 and a new starter in 2018. Runs strong, trim pieces in good condition, radial tires almost new, sides are straight and it has tons of visibility when driving. Solid trunk, no rust, all glass is clear. Simple instrument gauge cluster. The 59 weighed 1800 lbs, had a whopping 42hp motor with a top speed of 80 mph. New for 1959 included vented butterfly windows, and external deck lid latch to give access to the trunk from the exterior of the car. Finally, the interior diamond pattern seats completed the look. Tons of documentation and practical restoration data that also includes wiring diagrams and extra parts. Plenty of news paper articles, Metro Club pamphlets, t-shirts and hats.
