2001 Jaguar XKR Convertible. The "R" means it has the supercharger. This supercharger gives this Jag 370HP, which makes it quite quick on acceleration and a ball to drive. This car when new was nearly $80K which means it is loaded with features. Power black top, leather interior, power seats, windows, mirrors, CD changer, navigation, automatic lights, back up sensors, etc, etc. Though it looks like the standard XK8, the tip off is the mesh front grill and the supercharger under the hood. The exterior of the car is in good condition overall. It does not have any major dings or scratches on the car, however the front bumper has a few paint cracks not shown able to be seen. Very minor or it could be repainted very easily. Top is in very good shape for the age and operates as expected. Only exterior flaw is the drivers door takes a firm push to get it fully latched. The interior is average for the age of the car and the fact it is a convertible. Passengers seat is excellent, rear seats (yes there are two back there for kids without legs or groceries, not much else) and all the gauges and accessories work as expected. Navigation system is a bit out of date, but frankly who needs it when you have a phone now. Drivers seat has cracks as to be expected from exposure to the sun and use. Mechanically the car is fair. When driving it recently (and if I will admit, it was a very spirited drive too) the supercharger bearings went loose. I had this scheduled for replacement once my shop had some time to work it in, but I waited too long. On the bright side, the a/c is cold, transmission shifts correctly, cooling system works well, and does not need anything mechanically other than the supercharger rebuilt or replaced. Also, it will show a warning of low coolant because the sensor at the bottom of the coolant catch tank is bad. This part is easily fixed and new sensors or complete tank is available at a variety of places. The supercharger likely only needs the bearing replaced, and you can find rebuild kits here on Ebay for around $100-150 and some of your time. You can also find used and rebuilt complete supercharger units on Ebay for $300-600 or so. I am selling at NO RESERVE as it sits with all faults I have mentioned. It can be started and driven on a trailer, but not recommended to be run a long time or driven far. Normally I would fix the car, but the shops we use are seriously back logged with other jobs. By the time they get to it, summer will be close to over. If sale does not go through, we will put it in line for repair. Car is sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS due to the mechanical condition I have described.
