It MUST BE TOWED. It is for local pickup only in Northern Virginia. Please do not bid if you want a car that is immediately driveable or want me to ship it to Oregon. If you're a mechanic or a car enthusiast, this is an awesome spring fix-up project! I’m selling my 1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS 3DR hatchback. Clean title, no accidents, all the scheduled maintenance. I live in NYC, and the car has been garaged in VA. I can say that, to the best of my knowledge, there are no major mechanical issues with the car. It’s been sitting awhile, however, and needs a lot of cosmetic and small-scale work — the ideal buyer is someone who’s really into fixing up cars and sees its potential. Sporty handling and performance once it’s back up and running. The battery is dead. The car ran fine and was regularly started by my pops before the battery died. I remember the spark plugs occasionally tripped the check engine light over the years, but besides that, there were never any mechanical issues with the car.Cracked windshield needs to be replacedFront right headlight needs to be replaced and a smallish dent knocked out of the surrounding area. The fender area plastic is also cracked (common on these models) and there is a small dent over the wheelbase on the driver’s side.Plan on buffing and repainting: sun damage on spoiler and key marks on driver’s side doorThe plastic part that encases the driver’s side window controls needs to be securedNo radio antenna Pneumatic catch release on the hatchback seems to be out — it opens and closes OK, just won’t stay open unassistedAC needs a tune-upThere are two small holes in the backseat cloth interiorPlease be advised that the vehicle is not currently registered and has a dead battery, so it is not driveable as is.
