2004 Mini Cooper S MC40 with complete JCW John Cooper Works Package.This is not your typical Mini Cooper S for sale. In 2004 Mini Cooper celebrated their 40th Anniversary of winning the 1964 Monte Carlo Rally by releasing a Commemorative Edition called the MC40. Of the 1000 MC40 Mini Coopers built, 10% went on to get the full John Cooper Works JCW Package. This is one of the 100 cars. This car is more than badging. This is a real JCW! In 2004 Mini Cooper produced 1000 limited edition MC40s. Each was painted Chili Red with a white roof - the signature colors of the original Monte Carlo Rally winning car. This package included sporting the famous “33-EJB” on the bonnet and a special 40th anniversary rally graphic on both the bonnet and rear quarters, rally lights, carbon fiber dashboard with the JCW decal built into the carbon fiber, and a dash plaque stating the car's number. Of the 1000 produced roughly 10% of went on to get the full John Cooper Works sport package. Making this car roughly 1 of 100 in existence. Condition This car has been only fair weather driven and is in great shape. It currently has 104,XXX miles on the odometer. All buttons, knobs, a/c, power windows, seats, etc function perfectly with the exception of the Oil temp gauge which was disconnected when a replacement oil drain plug was installed. The leather upholstery is in good condition. New solid motor mount and new Canton Racing radiator overflow coolant tank installed. Car has High temp Spark plugs/wires/Screamin' Demon Ignition/ Coil Pack, and Aluminum 2-Row Racing Radiator. The original wind shield is in the car but has slowly started to crack due to a stone chip. I have not gotten quotes on replacing this since it's small, behind the rear view mirror and out of the drivers line of vision. I recently installed a set of Continental Extreme DWs (Dry/Wet). They currently have less than 1000 miles on them. After getting asked many times about the supercharger, I spoke with the local Mini Cooper shop that has been maintaining the car. I asked them whether or not the supercharger oil has been changed in my car. They said, "no, we do not recommend changing the supercharger oil. Your supercharger is not leaking, all gaskets are in good condition and is working fine...Leave it alone." This highly optioned car has all 3 of the packages available on Mini Coopers in 2004: MC40, Sport Package and JCW. This is the most iconic R53 Mini Cooper, the one that is usually printed on tshirts and posters. Smaller supercharger drive pulley, Upgraded exhaust system designed to reduce back pressure, The JCW version generates 200 horsepower and 177 pound-feet of torque (the standard Cooper S has 163 horsepower and 155 pound-feet of torque from its 1.6-liter twin-cam 16-valve four) The MC-40 Package includes: Rally Driving Lights, Fog lights, Carbon Fiber Dashboard, Matte Chrome Monte Carlo Shift Knob, Three-Spoke Leather wrapped Steering Wheel, Custom lightweight anthracite BBS wheels, Custom Badged Rubber Mats, Chrome Grille/ Mirror faces/ Rear Boot Handle “GB” Chrome Insignia, Custom MC40 badging on the hood and rear quarters, Aluminum Faced Pedals, Custom (to the MC-40 version only) Red and Black Panther Leather Seats, MC-40 Badged Rubber Mats JCW Package included an upgraded supercharger, a better cylinder head, and an airflow system that allows the car to breathe better, better pulley system, a performance exhaust. The results: It has 210 BHP with 177 lb-ft of torque at 4000 rpm. The “Works” Cooper goes 0 to 60 mph in a jarring 6.5 seconds and has a new top speed of 140 mph.
