Seller added the R/T badging in 2002 w/new YearOne repros. This is NOT an original R/T car.- 89,680 miles currently showing on odometer. Seller assumes the car's mileage to be 189K- Original fender tag fully intact and rust-free; original build sheet in good condition; original undisturbed VIN tag on dash w/undisturbed factory rosette rivets; body stamps visible and correspond to fender tag- Clear title; recent renewed Oregon registration; see seller's stipulation @ bottom regarding new buyer DMV registration- Engine and trans (see below) rebuilt and installed October 1996, and currently have just over 17K miles on them.- Car was placed into storage March 2003; stored carefully on jack stands with no vehicle weight on running gear; vehicle was very well-wrapped to keep out pests — which it did.- April 2018; seller removed vehicle from 15-year storage; seller has spent the interim 6-8 weeks bringing vehicle back to road-ready status.- Sale of car includes many original receipts and provenance documenting parts purchases, part numbers, etc. MOTOR:- D-code 1968 440, stock forged steel crank, stock rods, stock 906 heads — all sourced from a '68 Chrysler wagon — which were factory original, never rebuilt. TransGo TF-2 shift kit.- Mopar Performance deep oil pan; B&M external oil cooler mounted behind grill- Hurst V-Matic shifter IGNTION / ELECTRICAL / FUEL:- MSD 6-AL multi-spark discharge box; MSD billet distributor w/adjustable mechanical advance (no vacuum advance)- Nippodenso hi-amp alternator -- brand new take-off from 2002 Dodge Ram 1-ton van; large hi-amp alternator feed wire w/Mega Fuse circuit protection- Fresh NAPA full-size battery, trunk mounted, with external kill switch below rear bumper- New YearOne ⅜" fuel line and ⅜" fuel tank pickup/sending unit COOLING SYSTEM:- Howe 31" aluminum universal fit radiator; 2 rows of 1" tubes- FlowKooler aluminum water pump w/high-flow brass thermostat- Dual Spal 13" diameter HP puller fans, 3,740 combined CFM, thermo switch controlled auto on/off w/engine temperature; wired w/heavy duty Ford-style relay and dual aftermarket circuit breakers SUSPENSION, FRONT:- Original 10" front drum brakes replaced with all-new late-70s 11-¾" Mopar cop car disc brake components, as outlined in Richard Ehrenberg's infamous Mopar Action disc brake swap article from the late-80s; reman calipers, new rotors / races / bearings, calipers, splash shields, etc.- Pads / rotors have minimal wear; 95% remaining- Reman disc brake master cylinder- Replaced all upper / lower ball joints, tie rod joints, upper control arm bushings 3 years before 2003 storage; front steering / suspension drives and performs like new- New Mopar Performance .960" "improved handling" torsion bars; installed at same time as front suspension rebuild- Aluminum steering box, rebuilt by Steer-n-Gear SUSPENSION, REAR:- MP -982 and -983 "heavy duty" leaf springs- Original-to-car 8¾" rear axle housing and axle shafts; all rear axle wheel studs recently replaced with right-hand thread studs and new lug nuts- Original 8¾" open (non sure-grip) differential sourced from above-mentioned '68 Chrysler wagon; 3.23:1 ratio- MP heavy-duty driveshaft with new 7290 front yoke and u-joints - Rear brakes are original-to-car 10" hardware, with about 50% left on brake shoes, and work great with large-rotor cop brakes up front WHEELS & TIRES:- Weld DragLite aluminum rims; 15" x 5" fronts, 15" x 10" rears- BFG P295-50R15 rear tires; Import P205-60R15 front tires- Rear tires approx. 50% tread w/sidewall scuffing from inner fenderwells when hard cornering; front tires approx. 95% tread and great condition- All new / recent lug nuts and McGard wheel locks EXHAUST:- Hedman headers, 1-¾" primaries, 3" collectors- FlowMaster 3" mufflers, exiting ahead of rear axle- 3" exhaust system w/crossover tube, exhaust exit ahead of rear axle; 2x bungs installed in head pipes to allow o2 sensors for tuning or for adding modern EFI BODY / INTERIOR / CHASSIS:- Painted in 1988 w/Dupont Centari. Original factory Buffed Silver Metallic factory paint / primer removed. Body work and paint is not very good, with numerous body filler spot-fills evident under paint, and paint shows subtle striping- Lower rear quarters, trunk floor, and rear under-bumper valance should be replaced; floor pans are good, but might need a little patching; DS front floor pan modified for 4-speed at one point then later patched when seller returned car to automatic trans- With the exception of the rear lower quarters / valance, the car is solid: exterior sheet metal and overall unibody are in good shape- Interior carpet is newer and in good condition- Dash is in very good condition, no cracks; center radio bezel is missing- Door / side panels are in very good condition; armrest bezels need replating- Front and rear seats need re-foaming and recovering- Headliner is original-to-car and needs replacing- Grant steering wheel; original Chrysler wheel, and horns, are gone, as is original Chrysler windshield washer reservoir / tubing system ———TERMS FOR PAYMENT:- Deposit: Winning bidder agrees to issue payment of a non-refundable deposit, via PayPal, in the amount of $2,000.00, which is due within 24 hours of end of the auction.
