Vehicle Detail
I recently discovered this two-owner, survivor Fox-body hiding out under a cover in the back of a dusty garage in central VT. The original owner had kept it well-maintained and in pristine condition for roughly 27 years, before selling it after a divorce. The previous owner put only 300 miles on it for the few years he owned it. Despite being a true VT car, it's never seen winter. As far as survivor Fox bodies go, it's getting more and more difficult to find them completely OEM-stock and factory correct like this one. It's the nicest all-original example of an early speed-density car I've seen in long time. Here's some more details, as follows: 1. Mechanical/engine: completely OEM-stock and unmodified, from the airbox to the plug wires/boot to the stock headers and H-pipe with cats. The entire engine bay is very clean and retains most if not all factory components. No fluid leaks of any kind; the car runs and drives well; transmission shifts well, clutch feels good. The AC blows ice-cold and was converted to 134A by the previous owner. 2. Undercarriage: zero rust, solid torque boxes and strut towers, suspension components all in great shape (rear shocks are newer service replacements). The original owner paid for a yearly rust-proofing package through the dealer, for which I have the receipt. 3. Body/exterior: super-clean sheet metal, some original paint, with other areas having been resprayed at the dealer under warranty. All of the trim/belt moldings/cowl are in excellent condition, the only exception being some very minimal - yet typical - wear on the rear quarter window trim (8.5 out of 10). Clad in a set of like-new Cooper Cobra tires, the stock turbo wheels are FLAWLESS. The previous owner did install a replacement set of headlights. 4. Interior: absolutely perfect. A 10 out of 10. Probably the nicest hounds-tooth GT interior I've yet to see on a survivor Fox body; all the trim, dash, headliner, console, ash tray door and door panels are in perfect condition; the back seat looks as though it's never been used. Even the stock radio still sounds good (all you need is your old G N' R cassette). Floor mats are a high-quality aftermarket set. The original owner was apparently a no-frills kind of guy, as he ordered the car with no power windows and no power door locks. 5. Misc: I will supply the original manual, owner regi card, extended warranty card with VIN tag, undercoat receipt, and service record from previous owner, along with the original title (the car will transfer on a VT bill of sale, as VT does not re-title cars more than 15 yrs old). I will deliver via enclosed transport within 200 miles of 05149, for $500.
