Vehicle Detail

1998 Suzuki TL1000R V Twin SuperBike "Low Mileage" Very Nice One of the most thunderous and stunning bikes I have ever heard and rode. If you are familiar with the TL1000R you know exactly what I am talking about. Add an aftermarket full Yoshi exhaust and you will experience one of the best sounding bikes in the world. You can't even find the full Yoshi exhaust anymore. If you look through the images above you will see all the upgrades that I have done as well as I will mention the very minor flaws just so you know exactly what you are bidding on with no surprises.New Front & Back Tires, less than 100 miles on themAfterMarket Yellow HeadLights (Very Bright)Double Bubble Rainbow Chrome WindshieldBlack Stud Windshield attachmentsShow Gun Frame SlidersRiffle Mans Throttle UpgradeCarbon Fiber Mirrors with SignalsCarbon Fiber Ram Air intake CoversAdjustable Clutch & Brake is just a click awaySwingArm Sliders Tre (Timing Retard Eliminator)Carbon Fiber Ram Air Tube CoversLicense Plate Tag Bracket Side MountCorbin SeatCarbon Fiber Tank ProtectorDual Yoshi Carbon Fiber Full ExhaustPower Commander IICarbon Fiber Bar End CapsSpike Fork Cover CapsRear Under Tail EliminatorBattery MaintainerNew Gel BatteryCarbon Fiber Flush Mount Front Turning SignalsI have more upgrades than I can even remember, bottom line you are basically looking at a bike that just has been broken in and has a ton of the best aftermarket upgrades every TLR should have. Never has been raced or used for tricks. All fluids have been well maintained. If your not an experienced rider this bike is not for you. I also have 2 Racing Jackets (1 Icon) and (1 Joe Rocket-New) and a helmet (Icon), a battery maintainer and professional bike stands that I can include if you are picking up or pay shipping. Pretty much the bike is mint except the seat on the left has a small scratch in the plastic you can see in the 3rd from last picture, bareilly noticeable. The mirror on the left fell out while mounting, a glass cutting shop can cut you a new one, the bottom belly pan under the bike melted a bit which i have in the pic, very hard to see but just want to be clear and honest, nobody can even see it unless you take the belly off. The cowl has a few very small knicks on the bottom but again very minor and I am being as fussy as I can. All flaws are shown in the last 3 pictures. If the belly pan bothers you it's $100 bucks, the mirror $20 and I can order and install new mirrors and the belly pan for $140 extra if you like. Mechanically and Cosmetically the bike is amazing. I have to say it will be very hard to see it go, but will make a very excellent bike for many years to come for the lucky buyer. The bike is barely broken in has no leaks been started every 2 weeks and brought to temp, All lights and signals work and all fluids have been changed and maintained by professionals. I included as many pics as eBay would allow so that you can look it over and see exactly how nice it looks. If you have any questions feel free to ask, my names Chris. The TL-R used an updated version of the TL1000S engine, but fitted in a supersports-style track-oriented chassis rather than the half-faired road bike chassis of the TL-S. The TL-R has very striking styling - a wide single headlamp fairing incorporates a pair of aggressive ram-air intakes before swooping back in an aerodynamic curve round the aluminium twin-spar frame. The seat unit has a large aerodynamic duck-tail fin, designed to reattach the airflow from the back of the rider, improving high speed performance. Under its smooth clothes, the TL-R is a high-specification sports machine. Its engine is the same eight-valve 90o V-twin as fitted to the TL1000S, but with some re-tuning to produce more top-end muscle. It delivers smoother, more linear power than the torquey TL1000S engine, thanks to fuel-injection and timing changes. But it was the chassis that received most attention from Suzuki's engineers. The TL1000S suffered criticism for its lively handling, and the TL-R is a much more stable ride on the road. A steering damper is fitted as standard, to reduce any tendency for the steering to flap about under hard acceleration, although the revised steering geometry and heavier weight of the TL-R had already added extra stability over the TL1000S design. The TL-R keeps the same unusual rear suspension system as the TL-S though. The rear spring is mounted separately from the damper unit, and the damper is a unique 'rotary' design. Rather than a conventional linear damper, which pushes a piston through a cylinder of damping oil, the TL damper uses a system of veins in an oil-filled chamber. The vanes are turned by a shaft linked to the rear swingarm, and the passage of the oil through holes in the vein gives the damping effect. The brakes were also uprated over the TL1000S, six-piston Tokico calipers replacing the four-piston calipers of the 'S' model.
