The Jeep is in good condition overall. The factory color: Gunmetal Pearl is a blue slate like color with depth and color play. This exact Cherokee is very sold, clean and a sought after Jeep. It was for a year, my daily driver. Well known the world over that this Jeep engine is bullet proof! With the 4.0 Litre engine having a low 129300 miles. This exact Jeep has only had two local owners, the first being a young lady who drove this car since new. I was fortunate to be its second driver. Good care was taken ever since new. Routine oil changes and modern service has been completed. New valve cover gasket and front drivers side U-Joint have recently been replaced. With receipt on request, the service was a nearly $500 job. The best about my Jeep is a follows, The Cherokee works in Original factory condition! ORIGINAL; Factory tinted windows. Cold A/C, All the power accessories are fully operational. Factory fog lights, every switch, dash light, cruise control, power seat, power mirrors, delayed wipers, rear wiper with sprayer. Radiator, water pump, and hoses are all in working order. Engine is strong and automatic transmission is in smooth working order. The 4X4 engages every time at the floor lever and is 100 % reliable and functional in all position selections. This is a low mile XJ Cherokee with original paint. The performance of the Jeep Cherokee is terrific and reliable. All Stock Jeep never off road or abused and very minimal rust, see the photos to judge the under body. The newest parts of the 98’ Classic is a newer, one year old battery. That is under the hood powering the newer 9 month new starter. The seats are original and in good shape. The power driver seat is in full operation. The rear seat bench looks almost new. Carpet is original with very little sign of use, one small burn to the middle rear carpet is noted. The car doesn’t smell like either pets or smoke. But has seen a dog or two and had a smoke or two. All window and door locks work, however the drivers side window comes up on a small angle askew. I just double tap the switch and the window seats itself up. The Tailgate shows a large dent (as seen in the photos) it is the remnant from the minor accident that created the dent during the fender bender noted in the Auto Check from years ago. The Jeep has a bad clock-spring as the turn signal never goes back off until manually placed back. A/C was just charged and seems to be working fine again. Suspension is just ok as my standards are high. Brakes are quite and firm and reliable. Tires are older and on their last summer of use. They are compliant with sale at over 3/32nds remaining tread depth. In my honest evaluation I would replace with my likes if I were to keep the Jeep. I have taken excellent care of this Cherokee Classic. It is clean and ready for you to become its next owner. I know that I represented this car as accurate as I did. The Jeeps annual consumption of 6500 miles a year is not a lot. At 20 years old she shows less than 129300 on the odometer today. Undercarriage is light grey factory primer. It shows very well and is clean underneath. The factory Gunmetal Pearl paint is in excellent condition.The body is straight and almost completely free of rust. Attention to the rocker panels in the doorsills has prevented any deterioration. The Inline 4.0 Liter runs excellent. The engine is one of the most reliable ever produced.
