Hi Thank you for checking out my auction. Up for sale is a rare Suzuki TL1000R V-Twin Super Bike. Not only the year, low production number and authenticity makes this a rare find but also the original extremely low 1387 miles on the TL1000R. This is the real deal and other than a few imperfections the TL1000R still looks and runs like brand new, no mechanical issues or any of the dreaded been sitting to long woes. The bike has been kept in a climate controlled garage all it’s life and up to the last 6 months or so given an occasional drive up an extended driveway throughout the years. Conducting some research online I believe this may be the lowest mileage 2001 TL1000R currently for sale in the world and even in existence. I just installed all new Fuel Lines and a new Fuel System so you won’t have to be concern about a 17 years old Fuel Pump or lines going out on you. All fluids changed and kept fresh throughout the TL1000R life and to date. If you plan to ride or race immediately, you will need to replace the tires, they look absolutely brand new however they are the originals and should not be driven on the highway. I left them on the TL1000R so you can see how well kept/preserved this bike continues to be taken care of and just in case you want to keep it as an rare all original collector motorcycle. The original Owner’s Manual, The Riding Tips/Practice Guide and the Solo Seat Cowl goes with the sale. The TL1000R has never been down or wrecked however I did acquire the bike from the original owner with two light scratches in a small area on the right hand side faring. He wasn’t sure how the scratches even got there. I did order from Color Rite a Kit to fix and started the process yesterday (5/26/2018 shown in pictures) but the paint will need to cure before wet sanding and buffing. I have the reserve set to take in consideration the required wet sanding and buffing. For a sleeker look the original Front Turn Signals have been swapped with flush mounts. For some experienced riders the TL1000R Beast needs no introduction however for some that may not know what a TL1000R is truly about, I will attempt to give a brief history on its origin. The TL1000R was only manufactured to compete in the Superbike races and did so for 5 years until Suzuki ended production in favor of the lighter GSX-R 750 Beast. What makes the 2001 TL1000R so special is the Fuel Injected V-Twin power plant with all forged and stronger internals which allows the engine to get into high rpm ranges normally only achieved by inline four cylinder engines. So technically you get to experience the best of both worlds as far as low end grunt and upper end horsepower goes. I have been riding for over 30 years and did race GSX-R’s for a period of time, the TL1000R is a great Super Bike that you can ride every day on the street or track and be comfortable. You will not be able to out run an experienced rider on a gorilla like a GSX-R 1000R however you will enjoy riding the TL1000R just as much if not more because of it’s comfort, distinctive inline four sounding V-Twin Engine and raw V-Twin Kick. The TL1000R was only initially manufactured to compete in both the American and World Super Bike factory races and did so for one year but after that year Suzuki ended the TL factory Super Bike race program entry in favor of the lighter GSX-R 750 Beast. However some sponsored Private Racers such as Tray Batey still continued to race and even set track records with some modified versions of the TL1000R well into 2002-2003 race seasons.
