Vehicle Detail

Meet Mjölnir (Thor’s Hammer) Rare gem of a car that was my wife's daily until a early last year. Was originally a CA car (2nd owner). This car is SO smooth to drive. People who have had one will constantly tell me how much they loved this car. It is a TANK but with the turbo has fantastic pickup. These are RARE (especially in wagon) but there are plenty of parts available. The 900 series was the last of the rear wheel drive volvos. I cannot express how true this car feels to drive. We’ve got over 8k in this car but sadly we need to thin the fleet. I would keep her but my driveway is starting to look crowded and my house looks like 10 people live here (who love Volvos and Toyotas). I have a reserve so this is about finding the right buyer but given what I am seeing other RWD Volvos sell for it is more than fair. Low miles for the vintage (122,8XX) Because these are not leather seats they are 10x more comfortable and are in great condition (we had another 940 turbo with leather - trust me these are better) Interior has no cracks The paint is great as is the clear coat with the exception of one corner panel (see photos) Replaced in the past 4 years (all work done by local volvo mechanic with 35+ years experience) New Timing beltNew Tires (purchased less that 2 years ago less that 15k on them)New RotorsNew Breaks (Lifetime break pads though NTB - Yes these convey with the sale)New CalipersNew RadiatorRebuilt Transmission (this was done late last year)New Head unitNew SpeakersNew Thermostat New Pump relay switchNew PCV ValveA bunch of other repairs as wellYes, I’ll include the roof rack The so so Remote start works 50% of the time Power locks are a little unpredictable (most likely a easy fix - wiring or fuse or because of the remote start)A/C need a recharge at the beginning of each summer so it has to be a SLOW leak. VOMAR BE STALK’N OMAR BE COM’NOn May-12-18 at 04:13:46 PDT, seller added the following information: This is the 940 Turbo On May-12-18 at 10:55:01 PDT, seller added the following information: You caught me at a good time so glad to answer. 1) Yes, not even a problem. If you pay as per the terms of the auction you can pick it up in a month. 2) I read the boards (but don't comment much) and am in the local VOMAR (mid Atlantic Volvo club) 3) That's a great question. So originally I gather that it was owned by a San Fran lawyer. I think it got hit (hence the 1 panel that was not painted as well) and he may have let it sit (I tired to reach out to him on linked in but he never responded). Anyway I bought it from a guy in NY. So they had it shipped over and repaired any issues that were with it. That was the longest trip it has been on. What I have learned about cars that have sat is that the first 6 months are the worst. You replace stuff left and right. After that the car breaks in again and all systems go. 4) The second longest trip was to WV. On the way home a hose came loose and we lost coolant. Fixed the hose, added coolant, finished drive. The following year we replaced the radiator and then the transmission spring of last year. Its a great car BUT my wife and I drive in metro traffic during the week (Prius life). It became a weekender but I also have a 92 245 (manual) so it just has gotten to the point that we don't drive it. I have 2 trucks too! A home depot beater and a 64 c10 that is a family heirloom. SO too many projects too many cars something has to give. Driving it today to wash it for a guy that is coming at 5 pm and I came home and raved about it too my wife. She just looked at me and said, do you really need another thing that you think is awesome. So I need to stop hording awesome and for that I'm going to lose a little coin but it was worth it. They don't and will NEVER make cars like this again.
