Vehicle Detail

Mia Rosa is a gasoline, 6 cylinder, W108 chassis 165,175 miles, Automatic, between 18 – 20 mpg. I bought it at 142,832 miles in 2001 in California. Since then I have had a lot of work done to it. (Note: the odometer reads 64,208, but documentation I have indicates that it turned over in 1982.)White exterior with beautiful deep red interior. From Orange County California, only one previous owner before me. Non-smoking both owners. Garaged for all it's life. Undercarriage is in very good condition. Has not seen snow. 2015 RI Inspection. This car has the bells and whistles. Cross-shoulder front seat belts, lap belts in the back, electric windows, heating and air conditioning, the radio was replaced by the original owner with an 8 track player. All original manuals plus a maintenance manual. All service records since I have owned it.Exterior is in very good condition. A few superficial rust spots. Seats are in excellent condition – only one tear less than 1 inch long (see picture). Front rug is worn but ok.Main Issue : The fuel system needs cleaning – I have not been running it. I had it inspected in 2015 and was experiencing some irregular power. I changed the fuel filter but realized too late that the injectors needed attention. Unfortunately, I could not get it to run long enough long enough to cycle an injector cleaner through the fuel tank. It has sat now another two years. So, needs the fuel emptied and cleaned. Prior to this issue this car ran like a horse. It is amazing and fun to drive. I had driven it from California to Rhode Island in 2001, 3 months after buying it. The crazy things you do when you are young! It made the trip beautifully.Minor Issues : The front window needs new gasket – it does leak and the wood trim along the dash was damaged from the leak but is now refinished. The front passenger electric window has a new motor but needs to have a window lift bracket attached to complete the work. The driver door mechanical light switch is broken and I have pulled the fuse for the interior lights because of this. The steering wheel is cracked and there is one crack in the dash vinyl. The chrome ring around the instrument panel needs glued back on. The rear bumper passenger side has a little damage.Lots of good work done to the vehicle since I have owned it:2015 : New spark plugs, distributor, air intake hose, fuel filter, new passenger window regulator and motor2013: repack front wheel bearings, rear axle bellows replaced, brakes resurfaced, horn replaced2003 : steering gear removed and replaced to fix leak, control arm bushings and motor mount2002: fuel pump replaced, ignition control box replaced, tie rod assembly replaced, muffler replaced 2001: head gasket replaced, heater control levers replaced with a kit.
