Up for auction is my brothers very nice 1965 Oldsmobile 98 convertible which he's owned for nearly 7 years now. The car sports its original 425 CDI / 370 HP engine ( its that or a 425/360 HP ). The car has only 90,765 on the odometer and my brother is the 3rd registered owner of the car. The Oldsmobile 98 convertible is very rare having a limited production run and in 1965 which was a one year only body style so you don't see these cars very often. She is highly original with only one repaint. The car is licensed and tagged in Tennessee in my bothers name and comes with a clear Tennessee state issued title. Also, the car is fully insured through Hagerty Classic Cars with an agreed value of $23,000. This is a NO reserve auction so high bidder takes her home this week. Mechanically: The car runs and drives great. The car starts right up with no issues or smoke and purrs like a kitten. The car was recently serviced which included new sparks plugs, carburetor tuned and balanced, oil changed, new oil filter, new valve cover gaskets, new air filter, new windshield wiper blades, radiator coolant changed and all fluids topped off. Also, about 3000 miles ago the ignition wires, distributor cap, rotor button, fuel pump and all belts where replaced The transmission shifts smoothly up / down through all gears with no noises or clunks . The car drives true and straight and the steering is tight and responsive. At this time I know of nothing mechanically the car needs other that to be driven and enjoyed. Interior: Nice presentable driver quality as shown in the photos. Exterior: No she's not a "Trailer Queen" just a nice driver quality car. The car sits nicely on the ground with no signs of leaning or sagging. As seen all body panels, hood, trunk, wheel arches, dog legs and doors are straight. Underbody: The underbody is in solid nice condition with no signs of rust repairs. Soft Top: Works perfectly with no issues going up or down. Shows some lite aging but don't fret the car comes with a new in the box soft top with glass rear window and a complete new well liner kit ( cost nearly $1,000 ). Trunk: The trunk is solid and has a spare wheel, jack jug wrench and stowage bag. Books / Manuals: The car comes with all its original books, pamphlets and 2 service / repair manuals.
