Vehicle Detail

For sale 1965 Ford Mustang Coupe This is a very clean and relatively untouched 1965 Ford Mustang. The car has very little rust and for a car of its age is very clean underneath. Due to the condition on the body I believe that the mileage for this car may be accurate, but I have no way of confirming this. The gentleman that I purchased the car from did not know either. The rusty areas I have noticed are on the passenger side frame rail. It has rust from the battery dripping on it over the years. The hood has some minor subsurface spots that have developed over the years and some minor rust in the trunk area, see photos for details. The paint work on the car is not an original Ford factory paint. The car is a deep blue color. It has some scratches and chips, nothing too major but it has been scuffed up from being garage kept. It also has some rub marks on the corners from being under a car cover. The vehicle has been kept inside since I have had the car. The seals on the car are original I believe, and the vehicle is not water tight. It does leak in the rain. The vehicle will need the doors, windshield and rear glass resealed. The windshield does have some scratches from the wipers being worn out at some point. I don’t believe that those marks will come out. All other glass is in relatively good shape but does show its age. The interior is blue, and I believe to be original. The car has an aftermarket shifter handle and steering wheel installed. The wiring harness for the steering wheel and turn signal was replaced recently. The horn cap needs to be replaced as the tabs were removed by the previous owner. The stereo and rear speakers are not original. The carpet in the car is blue. It is not in the best of shape. Still functional but faded out. See pictures for details. The engine runs smooth. The cam was replaced by the previous owner. The car sounds nice. The neutral safety switch does not always work so at times you have to shift the car into neutral to start it. The Flowmasters on the car have a very appealing rumble. The choke on the carburetor is not working so in cold and wet weather it takes a few pumps of the gas pedal to get it started, once warmed up it runs like a top. It does have a slight knocking noise that could be coming from a piston. The noise does not affect the power of the engine or seem to get any worse with driving. The suspension in the car has been modified by the previous owner and updated to front disc brakes. The vehicle needs some suspension bushings replaced and an alignment. The front tires have wear on the inside edges. The rear end has a traction bar installed. The wheels are not original. The rear tires have good tread, see pictures for details. The exhaust system is also not original. I noted that the front drivers side frame rails and strut tower look to be slightly out of alignment. The exhaust manifold on the engine contacts at that location. I purchased a new radiator support and driver and passenger side frontend assemblies, which I will be selling as well, see my other listings for details. The car has been described to the best of my ability. Please see the photos for more details, and I encourage an in-person inspection. These are the only issues that I know about on the car. This car is sold as is. I believe that this car is in good to fair condition. It's got some issues due to the age of the car but for a 1965 car its virtually rust free. This car according to the previous owner lived most of its life in Arizona. Most older Mustangs are rust buckets that had trees growing through them at one point. It’s a perfect car for someone looking to restore it back to either a factory condition or build an awesome track car.$500 non-refundable deposit due within 24 hours of auction close.Full payment in cash or cashier's check due within 10 days of auction close.
