I'm selling my 2003 (purchased new in July 2002) 6-Speed Manual, Titanium Edition (Aluminum Pedals, Xenon Headlights, Leather seats, Bose Stereo, Titanium accents, polished aluminum wheels, stainless steel door plates) Nissan Maxima SE 4Dr Sedan. I am the original owner of this vehicle, it was a three-month special order to get it brand new in 2002. This is one of the last Maxima’s that were made in Japan before production was brought to the US. The quality has been phenomenal. It also features the Meridian package which includes heated side mirrors, heated seats, and heated steering wheel. I also paid extra for the Viscous Limited Slip Differential transmission option from the factory. This Titanium Edition Maxima has a clean title and has never been in an accident. It only saw a few Midwest winters but was rustproofed with yearly touchups by Ziebart. I've lived in Scottsdale for nearly 10 years and most of the mileage has been highway driving. There is almost no rust on the vehicle and as you can see from the photos the overall condition of this Maxima is very good. It passed Arizona’s strict emissions standards for two years, last year. The AC blows cold, I had the suspension redone about two years ago with new struts, shocks and the power steering fluid changed. There is a Stillen sway bar installed on the rear axle that greatly improves handling. I kept up with maintenance, changing the engine oil every 3,000-5,000 miles (I’ve only used Castrol Full Synthetic), the transmission oil (Amsoil Full Synthetic) I’ve changed the transmission oil twice since I’ve owned this Maxima. I had the spark plugs replaced @ 100,000 miles. The mileage is all current and original @ 116,953. The mileage is low because I stored this Maxima for close to six years because I inherited another car from a deceased family member which I used as my daily driver. The tires are relatively new, three were replaced in the last 18 months at $250 a piece, they are Goodyear Triple-Tread Assurance High Performance radials. I also replaced the battery last month with a new one from Costco, I have the paperwork and it is under warranty. This Maxima is 16 years and is being sold As-Is, here are its quirks and issues:- The CD payer does not work, I used a cassette adapter to pipe music to the stereo from my phone. - There are some body dings and scratches, the hood has some small hail damage but nothing that cannot be pulled out, the windshield has a small round crack in it on the driver’s side, the rear passenger side window cannot be lowered from the driver’s console but does operate from its door switch, the sensor to the front passenger side window is a little off, closing the window has to be done slowly while not using the auto up feature. The driver’s seat has some slight cracking on the side of the seat, not on the seating surfaces. - - The rear passenger outer covering on the tail light is cracked, just the clear covering, the red/yellow plastic pieces are fine, I’ve never had a problem from the police over this. See photos. - I did replace the Evaporator cannister once and the purge valve. A common problem with this vehicle that causes the Check Engine light to come on, it was an easy repair. - The throw out bearing is going out on the clutch (this is the reason why I am selling this car). I went through an expensive divorce last year and no longer have a garage to work on my car in, or the extra income. The car drives fine but the throw out bearing and clutch will have to be replaced soon. I’m selling it As-Is. I will not ship the car anywhere, so do not ask. Local Pickup Only.
