1999 I bought this 1971 Malibu and I started to restore my dream car for me. I sent 454 engine to machine shop to rebulit it to 500HP, trasnsmission and positraction rear axle was also rebuid by local pro shops. All body work was done, all panels fenders, quarter-panels floors are new. It has beutiful Corvette -56 Yellow color w/black stripes. It has been now 20 years when I bought it, I have kept the car in garage all this years. I was thinking when I retired I have time to get it finnally finished, but no. Now I need downgrade my house and there is no more room for my Chevelle or Malibu how ever you want to call it. Unfortunetly I can not found documents what was exactly done to engine, transmission and rear axel, but I have spent over $20K plus lot of work on it. This car is in Wellington, Florida
