Just traded at my dealership - a 2006 Ford Mustang Saleen Convertible!! NOT the car that we thought we were getting! It has had a rough life and some major issues! We are planning to send it straight to a wholesale dealer only auction but I thought I would see if there was any interest out there for someone to buy it to either repair/restore it properly or maybe make a fun track car out of it. This is a real Saleen ( you can call Saleen with the VIN to verify authenticity if you wish) that runs fine however it has been involved in several accidents - one rear accident reported in 2009 - and obviously one in the front not reported. However the title is NOT a branded title but clear. The main reason we are sending it to the sale is that the previous owner installed a hideous Lambo door kit on it - this a 400 plus hp supercharged barely streetable race car for heavens sake!! At least the Lambo door kit appears to be only brackets and not welded so it should be easy to reverse with stock brackets. The front end sheet metal, core support have been replaced and installed incorrectly and the front frame rail needs pulled on a frame machine to repair. ***UPDATE: Two new rear tires have been installed however the left side wheels have small cracks that need repaired and leak air slowly.*** Also obviously the rear tire needs replaced but we have the original wheel that has light damage to it but is usable (after cracks repaired). Also has long tube headers with the cats deleted.I can certainly post more detailed pictures if there is any serious interest out there but time is of the essence. It will be leaving next Tuesday for the auction if it isn't sold. This will be a great chance to own a real Saleen Convertible (when is the last time you saw one of these for less than $25K?) at a wholesale price if you are willing to invest a bunch of sweat equity and some new parts. This will be a short 5 day ad on Ebay at the very aggressive special buy it now price of only $14500 that I obtained from my manager especially for this Ebay auction.. The Ebay price is significantly lower than the advertised sale price at our dealership plus we will certainly entertain and may accept reasonable best offers.This vehicle will be sold as-is which means we can not issue any tags because it won't be state inspected so the Saleen will have to be shipped or trailered out. Buyer is responsible for shipping or transportation. We can handle title work for any state through our dealership title department however the buyer will be responsible for all title, taxes and tag fees.
