Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1973 Mercedes Benz 280C. This car is in very good condition. I have owned this car for over 25 years. Most of its life has been in storage because I have been working overseas. Approximately 18 years ago while working in the US on a 1 year assignment it was my daily driver until I rear ended another car while pulling out of a shopping center. the damaged was to the drivers side fender, grill, bumper. Got all the repairs done at body shop and had the car completely repainted. While at it and had the motor removed and rebuilt, The car was placed in storage in a barn until early 2013. I purchased a house in Las Vegas so I registered the car and after all mechanical checks, new tires, brakes, tie rods, center links and alignment drove it out to Las Vegas from upstate New York. This car hasn't been on the road since the trip from NY to Las Vegas it has been kept in my garage. The car ran good all the way except when I arrived in Las Vegas it started to run rough. When I got it home found the fuel filter plugged with rust dust from the gas tank. Removed the fuel tank and cleaned it changed the filter and rebuilt the carburetor. The carburetor still has some issues because running rough so it will need a real good cleaning again to run smooth. The seats are vinyl and not a tear any where, AC works and blows cold air. the only issue with the paint is a chip on the passenger side fender (see Pictures) This is a nice car that needs a good home for someone to take it to the next level.
