This 1965 convertible with a power top is a “C” code with the original 2 barrel carburetor replaced with a 4 barrel carburetor. The original manual transmission has been replaced with an automatic transmission with the original clutch tucked under the interior carpet. The car’s engine works and the vehicle is drivable with disc brakes having been installed on the front of the vehicle. This car was purchased out of Marietta, Georgia and the underside of this vehicle IS SOLID (rockers, torque boxes, a-frames, shock towers, and drops) with no rust that would require any extensive repairs or replacement to the floor pan or other frame components. Since purchasing the vehicle in 1992, the owner has had the rear differential rebuilt, radiator and heater coil have been replaced, carburetor rebuilt, fuel tank and sending unit replaced, power convertible motor replaced, new interior carpet, new seat belts, dash instrument panel replaced and gauges work, fuel and transmission lines replaced, new light, ignition and convertible power switches have been replaced and the tires have good tread. The top has previously been replaced and it has two small holes in it – please see photos. The transmission will leak if the vehicle sits for a while and is not driven and the vehicle body needs some work and a paint job.
