Vehicle Detail
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Up for auction is a straight west coast 69’ Chevy Camaro that I have owned and cared for over the past 10 years. The car is currently powered by a healthy chevy 350 small block, freshly rebuilt Muncie M20 4 speed with close ratio gearing new light weight flywheel and ram power grip clutch (less than 100 miles on the rebuild and clutch) and a multi leaf 8.5” 10 bolt posi rear differential from a Pontiac Ventura with 3.08 gearing (The 8.5 diff is a lot stronger than the original 8.2). The floor boards and trunk panel are completely rust free and straight. I see no signs of the car has ever been in any sizable accident where body wrinkling or sub frame damage has occurred and I see no signs of it receiving poor body work over the years. There is brand new 18 inch diameter aluminum rally wheels wrapped in Hankook Ventus RS4 tires. I don’t think there is 50 miles on both the wheels and tires. These wheels retain the original classic look but the size of the tires scream performance with 245/40/18 front tires and 275/40/18 rears. The interior is very clean and original with the exception of a retro sound radio that looks like the original unit but performs much better than any 69’ radio. There is also a set of electronic New Vintage USA Analog Gauges which look very similar to the originals but are much more accurate and are programmable for things like high and low range alerts. There is also a set of 4 point seatbelts in the car but the original belts will be included. The problem areas: There isn’t a lot to list when you consider this is a 49 year old car. The windshield is cracked but the sale will include a new replacement windshield and trim molding clips. The paint is an old lacquer overspray on top of the original butternut yellow. There are chips, scratches, hazing and crazing of the paint. The only area of considerable rust is in the rear right quarter panel. Included with the sale is left and right quarter panel, patch panels. They are thick metal patches I believe 16 gauge (at least). Both front fenders have half dollar sized rust spots in the lower rear corners near the door (which is a common place for rust on these cars). The left fender has had a literal fender bender ding in it which popped off the paint. I would consider just replacing the whole fender given the rust spot previously mentioned. We require a $2000 deposit within 3 days of winning the auction. We are willing to work with the buyer to help arrange shipping however all shipping charges are buyer's responsibility.
