This is a very POWERFUL truck compared to the 2013 LTZ Black Diamond Avalanche we purchased to replace this one. It is rated to tow 8200 pounds with 2WD, 7900 pounds with 4WD and comes with a Trailering Package. See below for other features. EZ-On Boss Sports Utility 7.5' Snow Plow with new Red Polyblade installed Jan 2018. Original 10 yr. old blade is in the storage area of truck, along with old clouded head and parking lights. It was cheaper to replace ($82) the lights vs commercial polishing ($167). Plow blade can be cut down for a 7' plow for additional plowing life. Poly blade cost $214.13 plus $200 shipping. Tires (B.F. Goodrich with Raised Letters), alternator and battry purchased 2.4 years ago. Custom hand painted dragon (can be removed) and pinstriping by Dewayne Connot, North Wales, PA. Disc brakes (2010) and shocks (2011) were replaced along with a right axel seal (2008). Has 2 front windows tinted and running boards installed in 2007. Other new itrems include a new bug deflector, front driver's OEM (692) seat cover and window shields. There is an extra full set of front OEM (692) leather seat covers in the back seat. Color code in glove compartment. We purchased this truck in 2007 and only had to have the main instrument panel replaced ($2,000) under warranty. It is fully inspected; March 2018. Our 2003 Avalanche has given us 10 years of reliable service. We would not have even considered replacing it, but we discovered GM stopped making this terrific Mid-Gate* Avalanche in 2013 and needed a reliable truck for the next 15-20 years to maintain our property. We purchased a 2013 LTZ Avalanche Black Diamond edition (60,000 miles) last October and received a great deal, deciding not to trade in our 2003. Our 2nd car is a 2006 Solara and still runs and looks like the day we drove it away from the showroom. * A Mid-Gate allows for hauling 4 x 8 ft. panels completely covered. The back seats fold down and the rear window creating a pass through. The included 3 pc toneau cover completes this feature. Refer to stock Photo of Mid-Gate. Printed manual and receipts in a binder. 1 QT of POR 15 (rust eater $40) included, plus detailed instructions. Use with adequate ventiliation and use a throw away brush. Always pour into a disposal container. DO NOT USE directly from can. It is moisture hardened and may turn hard by next use. This is the only Brand that Stops Rust Permanently and we have been using it for 30 years. It Works! The many features on this Avalanche allows it to light up like a Christmas tree when approaching on a dark night. No problem finding it ;) There was 1 accident (2013) where a Chevy 2005 Tahoo, going about 55 mph behind our truck in the left lane of a 2 lane highway, glanced off the passenter right rear while attempting to go around. Tahoe was at fault and suffered a lot of damage. Our truck only suffered minor damage according to the police. Accident report and Insurance / Body Shop documents in binder.
