It had been owned by the same family for many years but they wanted a more modern sports car so it was time to part ways with it. We would consider this car a great example of a "survivor", much of this car still appears to be original as it was in 1960. There are no obvious signs that the whole car has been repainted and much of it appears to be the original lacquer finish and does show its age in areas. If you take a look at the interior you'll find it the same way, the interior and dash look as if they are still original. The odometer reads 77,xxx miles and although we can't document the miles, judging by looking at the car from top to bottom it would be very believable that these are original miles! Speaking of the bottom of the car, the underside of this one is very well preserved and it's obvious it was not out in the "snowbelt" like a lot of classics that are long gone by now. The floor pans all appear to be original and well preserved, you can see it must have been undercoated back when it was new and it aged well. There is some "scaling" on the frame and surface rust but nothing more than that, this car is solid underneath. We've changed the oil, inspected the car and it's ready for the new owner to hit the road with. It recently had the brakes gone through and the hoses and cylinders were replaced. It was driven to us over 60 miles when it was traded in and goes down the highway like you would expect from a luxury car from the 60s. Remember we would consider this car a "survivor", it's like getting in something during the 60s and just cruising. It may have a few blemishes here and there, but it's still nice enough to show, take to cruise ins or just drive and enjoy. Please feel free to call us with any details you would like to know.
