I have owned this Rover for nearly 7 years at which time it has been very dependable and fun to drive. Maintenance has always been on schedule and many items, as I will list, have been replaced for preventative maintenance. This Disco has 173k well cared for miles. The first item, when purchased, was to remove the standard open transfer case and replace it with the Land Rover locking transfer case ( 2004 case ). As you probably know, if you are familiar with these vehicles, this allows you to lock the front and rear axles together if necessary. I rarely used it as the Disco 2's have excellent traction. Items replaced recently are: 2004 Land Rover locking transfer case along with new heavy duty articulating drive shaft. New Radiator, along with ALL hoses, coolant tank, pressure cap, viscous clutch, fan blades and thermostat. The rad was older and I decided to replace to everything. Terra Firma 3" lift with shocks and springs Terra Firma Steering Stabilizer Michelin LTX 32" tires ( ride and handle much better than stock size ) 265/75R16s with same size spare New wheel bearings front and rear New brakes and rotors. Heavy Duty Front winch bumper ( Steel ) The entire front end has been replaced with heavy duty parts. Moog parts used where available with zirk fittings. Arms are heavy duty Terra Firma. Some upholstery replacement in drivers seat and side panel of doors All required maintenance up to date. Fresh paint on roof and hood. The flat surfaces were starting to have some fading and I decided to have a fresh coat of the standard Color. Never any accidents. Just the roof and hood was fading. It looks great. I have always received compliments about this vehicle. Being a Florida truck, it looks as good underneath as it does outside. It is not perfect, as one would expect with 170k miles. However, most would be impressed. Catalytic converters were removed. If this is an issue for you , pass this one by. Easy enough to install new if necessary. IMHO, this is the best Luxury 4 WD vehicle ever produced. Cruises at any reasonable speed on the interstates and is very quiet. And when you need to go off road, this vehicle is extremely capable with both clearance and traction. eBays Autochceck shows there may be a lien on this vehicle, but that is incorrect. I paid cash for this vehicle when I purchased it in 2011. I have a clear title in hand. All checks, including bank drafts and checks, will have to clear before the vehicle is released.
