Vehicle Detail
Please read this description, I'm very honest about everything that's good and bad about my suburban. I'm not looking to scam anyone, I sleep well. This is a true auction, $1 No Reserve, I'll let the market decide what it's worth. I'm going to shoot a walk around video this weekend, contact me through ebay for that link. Ebay makes it tough to embed videos in listings. 173,500 Miles. I’ve owned this truck since 2010 and I bought it with 115K miles. SLT has rear climate control, rear barn doors and drivers power lumbar seat. I have two keys and one key fob. Tires have about half life left, but one is new (had a leak that Costco couldn't fix, so they replaced it.) Current Virginia inspection and emissions. Truck has some road rash both inside and out, see photos. The front left ABS pickup rotor needs to be cleaned. I replaced both abs sensors in October '17 and it went through inspection fine, but soon after, the abs was engaging while braking at low speeds. There’s plenty of info online about the abs issues on these vehicles. I’ve since pulled the fuse so the abs light is on and the abs doesn’t engage. Also has P1351 trouble code intermittently. I drive it regularly with no problems, but sometimes, especially after it’s rained, the truck is hard to start. Over the years I’ve done plugs, wires, distributor rotor and cap (MSD cap, rotor and wires) coil and ICM. I replaced the coil, ICM and both wiring connectors last month. It got better, but it’s not solved. Battery is Costco, 1.5 years old. Over time, the coolant recovery tanks looses AF. I don’t think it’s a head gasket, but I can’t find the problem. I replaced the radiator in the fall and did the whole coolant flush and treatment with blue devil sealant where the engine idles for an hour then you drain, flush and replace the AF. It didn’t change a thing, so I don’t think it’s loosing the AF in the engine. I do oil changes at 5K intervals with the synthetic oil from Walmart. I’ve done all the usual repairs over the years, see my file with notes: tires, brakes, front wheel bearing carriers, water pump, starter, belts, radiator, all the ignition stuff mentioned, trans fluid, a bunch of sensors, etc. Aside from the P1351 and brake sensors, this thing runs well. I don’t commute, but I do take about 6-8 trips a year to Pennsylvania, 400 miles round trip. It drives well. I tow a 20’ boat 8 miles twice a year, it tows fine. 4x4/high/low/auto all works, sometimes you shift between drive and reverse to get it to disengage, pretty typical for this vintage. I put LED fog and reverse lights on it, they’re bright. It has a reverse camera that has a grainy image but is sometimes clear. Fuel gauge doesn't work, I use trip miles. The sending unit is in the tank on the fuel pump. I replaced fuel pump 4 years ago and gauge worked for 2 years after that, now it either reads full or empty. I use the trip mileage to judge fuel level. 45 gallon tank, so there's a large reserve. Drives side seat heat doesn't work, passenger's side does work. One rim has bad curb rash but still drives fine. I have replacement rim as shown. Frame is good, no rust, no bubbling paint. There are scratches on the body from various incidents My friend has a 3rd row seat that will fit this vehicle, its a matching grey, never been sat it and he’ll sell for $150. I’m selling this because I bought a 2500 to tow a bigger boat. Contact me with any questions, I think I’ve put it all out there. For sale Locally too. I'm in Arlington, VA 22207, bring cash and come see it, I'm ready to sell, but would rather give this to a charity than accept $1k for it. On Feb-23-18 at 11:23:49 PST, seller added the following information: Here is a video shot Friday Feb 23rd. I hadn't driven the truck in about a week prior to today.
