This included a new styling of the lights really helped finish off the 997 look. This Porsche was purchased in Huntington Beach CA and spend its life on the California Coast between 2 owners in Huntington Beach and Newport Beach. The current Los Angeles area owner purchased the car about a year ago with an hailing motor. A Porsche enthusiast and experienced mechanic, he set out to find a suitable replacement engine for this otherwise very clean and well kept car. A replacement engine was located in Canada and came out of wrecked 2005 Carrera coupe with 78,942 kilometers (49,339 Miles). The engine was legally imported and brought down to California. During the installation, the replacement engine was serviced and equipped with a brand new IMS bearing, new RMS Rear Main Seal, new Water pump, Spark Plugs, Belt, new voltage regulator and Oil Separator. A fresh oil change was performed and a new air filter was installed. The transmission was serviced while the engine replacement took place. New filter, connector, new conductor plate (a common source of failure in 10 to 15 year old Tiptronic) new oil pan seal and new transmission fluid. We drove the car 600 absolutely trouble free miles since the replacement and had the car California Smog Certified. The front brake rotors + pads + fluid were replaced about 500 miles ago with premium Sebro Rotor, Ate pads and Premium (German) brake fluid. This Porsche drives fantastic. It starts easily with no smoking or any other issues. The throttle response is excellent, The brakes have great bite with no fading or pulling. The car tracks straight and turn in is precise. With all the common sources of failure recently addressed, this 997 will serve its new owner well, it has great presence and is ideal for all kinds of driving experiences. This 997 looks fantastic. The exterior is in excellent condition and Sport Chrono differentiate it from the other. We could not find any significant scratches, dings, or blemishes. It is equipped with Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires, the front tires on this car that will soon require attention they still have some profile but are quite old, rear tires are fine. The interior is impressive and looks fresh. The carpet, door panels, and headliner are all look fresh. The dash has no cracks. The windshield and the rest of the glass is in great condition as well. All the gauges function properly. All the buttons and controls also work as they should. The A/C blows ice cold. This Carrera comes with the original window sticker, owner’s manuals, recent service records/receipts, front license plate tow-hook mount, and trunk kit (air compressor, flat repair liquid, small tool holder).
