1953 CHEVY 3100 5 WINDOW PICKUP 1978 PONTIAC TRANS AM STARLIGHT BLACK WS4 RESTORATION PROJECT Selling a 1978 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am restoration project that runs and drives. This car is a real Starlight Black WS4 coded Trans Am with Carmine red interior. It is not an SE, but is the next best thing. It has the Pontiac 400 with an automatic transmission, not the 403 Olds engine. Mileage now reads 10752. It is optioned nicely with power steering, power brakes, power windows, air conditioning, and t tops. The car starts, runs, drives, and stops but could use a tune up and rear brakes. The car was sitting since 1992. Overall pretty solid condition as far as the front and rear subframe goes for a 40 year old unrestored car . No rust or rot on front subframe or rear subframe. The front and rear floors are all in decent shape but the front passenger floor is starting to rust through. The biggest issue this car has is the quarter panels. They are pretty rotted on both sides and will need to be replaced. The trunk pan is also rotted out and will need a full trunk pan replacement. The quarter panels are available through AMD and are $500 each. The full trunk pan is also available through AMD and is $400. Please look at all the pictures to see the rust issues. The interior on this car is original and could use a cleaning, but is complete. I would replace the carpet and door panels and clean the seats, but that is up to you. The dash is in decent shape with just a few small cracks. The windshield is cracked and will need to be replaced. This car needs some love, but can be driven while you repair or restore.
