up for an auction is volvo 240 wagon classic series. was delivered to usa through diplomat sales programm, original sticker still attached to back window.vehicle was repainted, has green pearl flakes in paint. car was sitting for almost 2 years, driven on sundays for few miles. odometer works,cruise control too, i think ac still blows cold as well !!this rust free vehicle had windows tinted,atermaket stereo...this was a great car ,but i have newer volvo suv now with dvds for kids,so this wagon will have to find a new home.dashboard has few cracks, but there is a black cover, right door pocket broken, left looks new. good looking interior for a volvo wagon honestly.i remember there was a slight delay between 2nd and 3 rd gears, but i learned to play it out with a pedal. when i changed the in tank fuel sending unit, i noticed the floating arm on a replacement unit was a little shorter, so the full tank showes 3/4 when full.left back door opens from inside only( will need new door handle).will need windshield wipers as well , but main thing is it has a kill switch, to shut the engine off. this never bothered me, i kinda even like to have a switch, but that means that cars electrics would have to be looked at.overall this is a great vehicle with some flaws, but with some time spent could become a gem again...i dont have insurance on this car anymore, and cannot park it here anymore,so it has to be sold. would really like to sell this volvo to enthusiast,collector or a volvo mechanic.i had few volvo 240 before, so would be able to find some parts to be included:arm rest, speakers grills, etc.i wouldnt recommend to drive it far, since brakes and tires better be checked,oil changed and fresh fuel added. cargo box on roof is painted mercedes cargoand was 1200 $ from dealer alone.pls arrange test drive before you buygood luck
