Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1970 HONDA CB350 – 18,965 miles*. I bought this bike about 7 years ago and rode it for a few years, putting on less than 1000 miles. Since it ran well but had a lot of rust on the chrome and deteriorated paint, I decided to redo it in the Café Racer style. I have been working on it for several years and it is about +95% complete, but I haven’t done anything on it this summer except replace the battery. I really don’t have any interest in completing it – my motorcycling days are just about over and I’m selling off all my bikes. NEEDS TO DONE: Some wiring needs to be connected – the new handle bar switches required some re-wiring, but it has been completed except for the ignition portion. Headlight & turn signal wiring complete. Ignition, brake & tail light need connected. Exhaust shields need installed and a support brace fabricated for the mufflers. Seat upholstered – 1” closed-cell foam & black vinyl material included. Front brakes bled, clutch adjusted, carbs will need adjusted & synchronized.. Engine oil – bike has not been run since project started. Exhaust heat shields, front fender & other bits & pieces are included, but need to be installed. MAJOR MODIFICATIONS: CB 500 tank with flip-up filler cap (tank was very good inside but I sealed it with POR 15). CB500 front disc brake on CB400 / CB 350F forks (larger diameter) New shock seals & fluid, caliper rebuilt CB 400 Comstar wheels CBR 600 Rearsets w/ custom shift linkage & brake linkage modified for drum brake. Custom flip-up fiberglass seat / fender/ license plate bracket Tapered roller steering bearings Virtually all OEM fasteners replaced with stainless steel socket-head or hex- head fasteners, including those on the carb diaphragm covers (well over $100 spent on fasteners alone) Honda CL350 exhaust system Frame extended to support new seat New rear shocks / springs – Gas /oil, adjustable for pre-load & firmness NEW: Halogen headlight. NOTE: I bought this particular unit because it had a halogen bulb, LED running lights and was cheap, but it is garbage - included is the original headlight bucket, rim & high-beam warning light. Ignition coils & wires Clip-on bars, shorty levers, brake master cylinder. Handlebar switches Gel Battery (new at beginning of this summer) Speedo, clutch & tach cables Drive chain Rectifier – not OEM, made from upgrade bridge rectifier w/ heatsink Swing-arm spools for paddock stand And on and on, as you can see in the pictures AND MORE: Frame was stripped and painted with spray-can satin green enamel & clearcoat close to the color of the tank. Tank & front fender stripped, and along with the seat, painted in single-stage urethane enamel in “Black Green”. About an ¼ quart of paint is included, along with catalyst and a quart of urethane clearcoat and catalyst that I intended to apply, but never did, mainly because I like the soft vintage look of the plain enamel finish. *This is the mileage shown on the odometer, but the title shows the mileage as 18,998. This is because when we went to have the title transferred, the previous owner didn’t know what the odometer read so he guessed. I’ll answer any questions as quickly as possible. Bike is available for inspection. I would prefer pickup, but will ship if buyer makes the arrangements. Please note that a $200.00 deposit is due thru PayPal within 24 hrs. of the close of the auction.
