Vehicle Detail
1973 Honda z50 mini-bike You are looking at one kick-A$$ adult owned 1973 Honda z50 k4 somewhat of a rest-mod given the non-factory pain job. Motor and carburetor are original to the bike. Frame and tank professionally painted in 2010 (absolutely no spraypaint paint). Bike has a 70cc kit with aluminum cylinder, newer tires, sprockets, chain, wheel bearings, brake pads, seat cover, and clutch plates. Tank cleaned and sealed with por-15 a few years back. New gas, fresh oil and spark plug. Cosmetic flaw near the base of the handlebars where they were heated up to straighten them and some chipping of the exhaust heat-shield chrome at the top. No kickstand. Throttle/choke need getting used to and it shifts pretty hard... What do you expect... It's from 1973... Starts after about 5 kicks if I haven't ridden it for a week or two (with right amount of throttle and choke), otherwise one kick typically does it. If anyone selling theirs says theirs runs perfectly, do not believe it. Especially if there is a after-market carb on it. I have learned a lot about these bikes over the past few years and there are very few that match the quality of this one. The pictures do not do it justice. Bike is simply beautiful and too damn nice looking to ride and beat up on. I'm 220 pounds and in 3rd gear I go about 25 mph !!! This thing is a blast !!! Semi-automatic transmission with neutral - 1 - 2 - 3 then back down. Although I love looking at this little thing, I don't drive it enough to warrant keeping it... and I want the money to help fund a 71' Plymouth Duster 340 street/strip car project... This bike would be the perfect holiday gift for yourself and will only be going up in value over the next few years. Buyer responsible for pick-up. I'm in Oceanside, California 92056. Deposit within 24 hours and I'm willing to keep it here for a week or two as long as it's paid for in full. Of note, with the handlebars folded down it fits into the back seat of a Toyota Prius. If it doesn't meet the reserve (in the hundreds, not thousands) will offer to highest bidder when auction ends. I just don't want to be stuck selling it for like $200. Anyway, full payment by cash or PayPal is fine. You are responsible for pick-up. If you live close, feel free to come over and check it out !!! Bidding ends Sunday night 8:00 PM pacific time. Good luck and God bless!!! Jimmy
