1980 MGB My dad bought me this little MG last year and then spent $3500 and change with a local MG garage to "do what is necessary" to make it safe for me.This included fitting New:- Battery with cut off switch Shock absorbersFront brake calipers and pads Rear Wheel Brake Cylinders Clutch Slave Cylinder Various belts, poly bushes and fluids for brakes etc 4 x Tires and wheel alignment I have just had fitted a new thermo switch Now, everything works as it should including the Air Conditioning. It cruises comfortably at 60+ mph The condition of the car underneath is very good as it is a Florida car. The sun, however has not been kind and the upper surfaces are not pristine. The wheels are in excellent condition. The soft top has a clear back screen and seems to fit OK but I have not been out in it when it was raining I have come to the sad conclusion that it doesn't suit me. It is not suitable as a daily driver as I cannot get all my shopping in it and it is taking a space in my garage which I want to use for my Jeep. I believe the description above is as accurate as I can make it.
