I am like 200 years old. I had a series of massive strokes almost 3 years ago. I was in 4 different hospitals over the next 3 months, blah-blah-blah.The Miata ran great and I drove it every day (my only car). Ran excellent. DMV revoked my license because one of my Dr's turned me (as they are required to) in for medical reasons. I turned the license plates in and took insurance off. It has been sitting in my garage for 3 years. A month ago I decided to run the engine and keep fluids moving. I used a booster (battery was dead of course) and it started right up and ran great. I went to put it in reverse so I could back it into driveway and wash it. It would not shift into gear and clutch pedal went to floor with no pressure. I am not a car guy so had no idea what was wrong. There was NO transmission fluid or any other fluid on garage floor. A friend stopped by & looked at it. He said because it had sat in a red-hot garage (no ac in garage of course) in Florida for 3 years, the gasket (seal?) around clutch had shrunk and was letting the fluid surge around the clutch and not letting me into gear. It runs great otherwise and you just need to have gasket replaced. 104K miles(Miata's are known to reguarly run 300K). I am disabled and will probably never drive again. Cosmetically it is nice and has original paint job (Mazda had a fancy special paint for the M edition and I don't remember the name but it is a "burgundy". Paint has some scratches but body not dented. Has the custom wheels Mazda put on the M edition. AC only partially works. BTW, the streaks on dashboard are NOT there. I had just wiped it down with a wet towel so that's why it looks like that.There is a large area around gas filler where the clear coat came off. It is supposed to have an over-drive option but I could never figure how it worked and besides, I didn't need it. EVERYTHING works- head lights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, map light, door handles, and power windows. The original radio works, but only picks up local stations, so it needs work.(the antenna is laying in trunk, not working, That is why radio will only pick up local stations). The top works but is very worn and leaks-needs replaced. The driver seat is torn. No rust except a cpl spots where it is just starting on bottom of trunk lid (shown). I have a clear title. BRAND NEW set of tires with 4 miles on them! (story). Has NEVER been in an accident or a flood. I am starting at a cheap $500. Buyer must remove from property within 15 days.
