Up for auction is a 1979 MGB with only 86,521 miles on the odometer. This car sports the highly sought after factory overdrive transmission. Car is exceptionally straight and rust free. I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Overdrive: Yes the car has the highly sought after factory overdrive transmission option. Works great and really makes all the difference on those long highway trips. Mechanical s: The car runs great and drives very nicely. Car starts right up with no issues, smoke or noises. Runs drives great with no issues that I'm aware of. No body squeaks or rattles when driving the car. The following work was just completed. New ignition wires, new distributor cap, new rotor button, new spark plugs, new air filters, oil change, new oil filter, new upper &lower radiator hose, new radiator coolant, new battery, carburetors tuned / balanced, new fuel pump, new brake master cylinder, new brake fail switch and new overdrive gearshift knob switch. Totally turn key car. Needs nothing at this time. PS: The gas tank, fuel sending unit and exhaust system where replaced about 2 years ago. Gauges: All gauges are correct and are in proper working order at this time. Oh, yes the clocks does work. Electrical's : This area is in exceptionally good condition with the following items in proper working order. Head lights work ( high and low beam ), front maker lights work, front indicator lights work, front side markers work, front running light work, rear running lights work, rear indicator lights work, rear side maker lights work, rear brake lights work, rear back up lights work, licence plate lights works, hazard light switch works, blower fan works, windshield wipers work, horn works. The stereo is brand new with blue tooth and the antenna was replaced as well. Unlike most MGB's this area needs nothing. Exterior: The car shows well in the photos and presents herself well in person. The body is exceptionally straight with no dings or dents that I can find. Nor can I find any paint bubbles anywhere on the paint. Look at the panel fit of the doors, hood and truck - really clean and sharp. No know accidents, panel replacement or rust repairs to the exterior of the car. Car sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of leaning or sagging . A very, very nice looking car. Interior: As you can see its in beautiful condition. Recent items included new seats, new carpet, new floor mats, new door panels, new door top caps, new complete front dash, new arm rest, new shift boot, new fan switch and new stereo. Looks great and needs nothing as you can see. Soft Top: The soft is new and fits very well. Covers: Car comes with a top cover and Tonneau / cockpit cover as seen in the photos. These are must haves for looks and protecting the soft top and interior. Trunk: The trunk is rock solid and sports a newer trunk carpet kit. Car comes with books and manuals. Underbody: The underbody is in great condition. The frame, floors and inner sills look good from underneath as seen in the photo. Again, like rest of the cars no rust repairs. It's not listed in the auction but I did just have the thermostat, thermostat housing and auxiliary radiator fan reply switch replaced along with having the radiator flushed and new coolant added. I have engine bay photos available upon request. As stated / seen the cars looks very nice but one should expect a few scratches here and there ( none of which are visible in the photos ).
