Historically, most Dooleys are purchased by building contractors and/or landscapers. They are subjected to heavy duty use, are rarely serviced prior to breakdown, are usually driven by non-owner employees and almost never have employee caused cosmetic damage repaired. As a consequence, most of them are eventually junked as the cost of repairs has become prohibitive. NONE of this is true of this rare "bird". It presents as a frame off restoration which, in fact it is not. This 'gem" of a Dooley is all original including its upholstered interior. The sole exception is the the metallic blue (option number 23D "Lodi Blue") re-paint. It would therefore be considered "correct" as a collectable. Loaded with options, 30 Factory installed and 13 installed by this owner, this vehicle has spent its' whole life in Arizona where rust and corrosion are virtually unknown. In addition, to the best of my knowledge, there has never been any physical damage to body, chassis or drivetrain. As the second owner this rig was used as my daily driver until being retired it to its permanent home in my custom built garage. The original owner utilized the vehicle to tow a small outboard powered boat and, as far as I can determine, didn't use it to haul "freight". Although it has often been said that "One Picture is Worth a Thousand Words" my photos do not do justice to this rig as I am not a professional photographer. At the risk of breaking my arm patting myself on the back I can state, unequivocally, that in the sixty or more years that I have been involved in buying and selling unusual and uncommon cars and motorcycles there has never been, not even once, a time when the first person to actually come and actually lay eyes on my offering didn't actually purchase it. I have, all my adult life, been a car and bike enthusiast. I am an individual, NOT a dealer, so there will be no sales tax added to the purchase price. Since Arizona levies an 8% or more sales tax I'm sure you could find better use for the money. REASONABLE offers will be considered.
